Considering the price, this is an excellent touchscreen monitor in nearly every way. However, theres one major caveat that may be a deal breaker for some customers. The USB hub cannot be powered when the monitor turned off and plugged into the computer. Weirdly, it CAN be set to power USB devices when its powered off and unplugged from the computer. But, if you need to unplug your monitor every time you try to charge a phone ... well, thats problem. This seems like an intentional design decision, baffling and impressively stupid though it may be. If I were going to transfer files through the monitors USB hub and decided to turn off the monitor whilst waiting for the transfer to finish - I might have lost or destroyed some data. The TLDR - dont plug your camera or a flash drive or your phone into this monitors USP port unless youre positive you wont accidentally turn the monitor off while these devices are plugged in.

worked right out of the box. I got this for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter to run her ABCmouse program. with a touch screen monitor it works great for her. Very pleased. Soft to the touch for her little fingers.

Monitor is great, especially considering the price. Where my poor overall rating comes from, is that when I opened it, the monitor had obviously been used. The screen and logo protectors had been removed. There was debris on the rubber feet of the stand, screws had obviously been used, cables were opened and the base was broken. Thankfully, I planned to use a movable arm instead of the stand so I should be able to make it work.

I have a new Dell G7 15 laptop. I bought this P2418HT to complement it. Sadly you have to use 2 freaking cables (USB and HDMI) for the touch function to work. If you only plug in the USB 3.0 as the setup instructions tell you, it works simply as a monitor with no touch function. Adding the HDMI cable was the only way to get the touch function to work. Ridiculous! Am I the only one having this issue? Anywho...it is beautiful and has great angles for working. The screen is not glass which I prefer as I have it on 2 other touch screens I have. Feels much smoother with glass. Will update if I find a work around to this multiple cable nonsense. Come on Dell!

I like it... it was not plug and play in my case with the cables provided with this order. Once I used HDMI-HDMI cables then it worked without any issues. very responsive and smooth touchscreen experience. Owner for about 2 hours now.

Used as a single external monitor for a Surface Book with Surface Dock and HTML with miniport adapter. Normally run “second screen only” mode to get full benefit of the screen’s real estate. Used for general computer work; a little bit of everything but no specialization. Although the monitor comes with a myriad of settings; none were needed initially or to date. After setting up and turning everything on, it configured itself to my preferences. Resolution, brightness, color, and contrast all met my needs. Touch didn’t even need calibration. The articulated stand does not allow for horizontal screen placement but does allow the bottom to approach the desktop and with a slope that is comfortable to view, draw, and write on. Placing the bottom near my keyboard, my arms no longer tire from reaching for a more conventional touchscreen. For those who plan on placing their monitor similarly, I would not recommend the 27” version; increases vision span and reach. While many criticize Dell’s choice of screen surface, after using it, I quickly became comfortable with the feel of the texture. I really appreciate the matte surface does not become a mirror in a bright room or with sunshine hitting it. I had no issues with brightness as some critics indicate. The capacitive touch system does not accept an active stylus. I have found that I do not even need a cheap stylus for much of what I do on the large screen and rarely resort to using the Surface stylus on the Book screen. While the Surface Book and Dell Monitor combination is not a Surface Studio, it does provide much of that flexibility at a much lower cost.

You need an additional cable connected to your computer (per monitor) to make the touch part work, thus robbing at least one usb port. I just assumed they were a higher Def monitor but theyre only 1080p. The touch part has a lot of lag, too. Overall, neat idea but poorly executed. They got returned within 10 minutes of receiving

Love this monitor! Was able to snag it cheaper on Amazon than Dell themselves were offering it. SCORE!
