> 3 dayCONTEXT I needed white ink for a calligraphy project and wasnt quite sure what to use. After some research, I found that a lot of calligraphers swore by Dr. PH Martins Bleedproof White, so I got on it ASAP! PROS - Its OPAQUE!!!! Oh my goodness, the opaqueness of this stuff is an absolute dream. ESPECIALLY if youre like me and like to use watercolors, this will absolutely change your life. - It is easy to use, ONCE you figure out how to use it (LOL). See my cons for more on this. - The ink is smooth to use and flows beautifully. CONS - When you initially open the bottle, the ink is VERY THICK. The consistency looks like goopy acrylic paint. So, if you were to use the ink with a nib pen or watercolor brush, youd find very quickly, you CANT. So basically, you cannot use this straight out of the bottle. - To use it, you need to add water, BUT not too much and not too little (finicky little ink). Youll want to add just the right amount for your medium, naturally. For me, I added more water, as I do like the watercolor look and feel. If you arent sure about where you should be, you can always watch a video on YouTube about it. - Because you have to add water to the ink, youll likely need another little canister to store whatever you mix. Not a big deal if youre an artist, since youll likely already have some extra paint pots. OVERALL I love this stuff. Once I figured out how to use it, I couldnt believe I didnt already have this in my arsenal. Whether you need it or not, great to have in your tool belt.

> 3 dayAt first this was a wonderful product to create white areas or use for a highlighting effect, that is until it dried out. I kept the top tightly closed and maybe used it 7-8 times but on the 9th time it was like a solid brick. I thought why not add some water and see if it comes back? Bad move because it turned spiky, shard like and turned flakey. I added more water and closed it for a few days ,this time it was liquid on top but underneath was still dry. It started out great but didnt last and for $10.00 I wouldnt buy it again !!!

> 3 dayThis was suggested in a watercolor class that I was taking online. It can be mixed with watercolor to create a gouache paint. I think I will use it a great deal.

> 3 dayBest product for creating highlights on ink, markers or colored pencils. The product is quite thick and very opaque. Color does not bleed through it like a Signo gel pen or Posca white (and similar) pens. Does not require extra coats, one coat with a paintbrush is all that is needed. The jar is generous and lasts me quite a long time since I only use tiny amounts. You can thin it with distilled if it becomes too thick. Basically it is an opaque gouache. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI use it for a white in my watercolors. Haven’t mixed it with my colors just as white over my dried water color. Has worked very good

> 3 dayThis is the product to use if you paint with watercolors, and you dont want to work with masking fluid or havent had good results. This can be thinned with water to produce a fine white line for whiskers and things like that.

> 3 dayAs a novice calligrapher, I purchased this white based on reviews. While I think its a good quality product, it is a little difficult for beginners to get just the right consistency (diluting water with ink). It takes a bit of practice to get it just right. For this reason, I cant quite give it 5 stars.
