Drill America - DWT54506 5/16-18 UNC High Speed Steel Bottoming Tap, (Pack of 1)

I used this to clean up the threads on a Model A Ford Zenith carburetor jets.

Thought a new 6-32 tap would be the right way to start a new project... It snapped on the second hole. Had to revert back to the one I had which got me through the next 22 holes.

I received this product and it was of great quality and completed the job perfectly. I used it to tap aluminum piping. Unfortunately after completing the job, I realized I had purchased the wrong size. Overall though, it did a great job at what I ordered it to do. Thank you!

Bought this tap to thread holes in a cast iron transmission pan on an old tractor. It cut the iron no problem. Did 8 holes and was still cutting the threads well. Very happy. I used a size F drill bit and then tapped the holes with this. Nice tool.

it literally broke on the first bolt hole I tied to clean the existing threads on.... I never have broke a tap in my life and did not put hardly any pressure on it, I do believe it was defective... I lost my money this time

Seems to be well made and is of great quality, performs great for what I needed.
