> 3 dayTotally unacceptable. I was given and defective machine and still get charged $85 for a restocking fee? This should be criminal. What an absolute joke.

> 3 dayThis is my first Dyson and now I know why everyone is crazy about these vacuum cleaners! This thing is AWESOME! This is my first cordless vacuum cleaner as well and I find it just amazing how easy it is to vacuum clean with this machine. It has excellent sucking power and it is easy to maneuver. Our granddaughter is needing a vacuum cleaner this fall for when she goes to college. She is NOT getting this one! I am keeping it! (I will be ordering her this model before she heads out to college)! I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone!

> 3 dayIts times like these where battery-powered vacuums really start to exhibit their flaws. This vacuum is no exception, but let me start with the positives. This vacuum does a really good job being able to pull even the most stubborn particles and crumbs off your floor. However, the biggest caveat to this suction power is the quick depletion of battery life. On the maximum setting, this vacuum lasts less than 20 minutes on a full charge.

> 3 dayI picked up this Dyson V8 to replace my aging Shark vacuum that I do love, but they no longer make that model any more so I cant replace it with the same cleaner. Id shopped around looking at some other stick vacs but wasnt sure which one to go with, and Id always heard that Dysons were one of the best. So I was pretty excited to give this one a try. Its said to have about 40 minutes of runtime, depending on the setting being used. I cant say Ive had it last quite that long for me. Fortunately, I dont often need that much time with this, since Im using it just on the main level of my home which is all hardwood floors and a few rugs. I could vacuum my whole home in 40 minutes and Im pretty certain I couldnt get enough runtime with this to clean my whole home. Im wondering if the 40 minutes of time would be if it was fully charged and just turned on, not actually using it where it gets resistance on the floor from debris and such? Not to say the battery has a super short lifespan. Just that I think Ive been getting a bit less than that. The suction power is outstanding. I have several large dogs and its springtime, so they are shedding everywhere right now. I have to vacuum my main level every other day or else theres so much fur you could make rugs out of it all. This cleaner does a great job of getting all the hair, dirt, crumbs and such that are all around the floors. It also pulls up the hair from the rugs at the front and back door quite well, and my carpeted stairway. It stores and charges nicely with the included mounting kit. However if you dont want to set up or install the wall mount you can plug the charging cable directly into the cleaner. I think Dyson may have recently changed up their V8 design, because Im seeing a lot of information online from previous years where people mention two brush heads. One being a hard floor attachment and one for carpeting, both large full size vacuum heads. That is not what they come with now. The V8 I received comes with 1 full size cleaning head called a Motorbar. It looks to be a two in one design, so you dont need to switch out between the two heads any more. And then there are several smaller cleaning head attachments as well. The hair tool is a good size for cleaning stairs. Thats what Ive been using to clean up the dog hair on mine and it picks up quite well. Overall Im really happy with the V8. It has a ton of power for a stick vacuum cleaner. They claim its quiet, and I agree its much less noisy than the vast majority of cleaners Ive used. And what I appreciate the most about it is that its just as powerful at cleaning stairs with a small attachment connected as it is when its cleaning the floors with the main cleaning head. It seems every vacuum I use, it is lacking in this area. I usually struggle to get my stairs clean. But the V8 does it all. Love it!

> 3 dayHaving to hold the trigger button down to keep the power running is the only thing I would ask to be different. Lightweight, Great suction, great battery life, super easy to use and clean! Easy to empty and long hairs don’t get tangled in the special beaters. Thay thought of everything including attachments and how easy they are to attach. Topping it off with a wonder wall hanging charging station!!

> 3 dayJust what I needed for short jobs. It comes with a convenient hanger to put it up on the wall & the charger threads through that. It came with a 2 yr. warranty and was easy to register. The quick start guide was great and within a couple of minutes I was using it. It doesnt hold a charge for too long, maybe 10 minutes, but thats enough vacuuming for me. I use a robot vacuum to do most areas but it doesnt do corners or around furniture legs so the combo is working for me.

> 3 dayI bought this vaccuum eleven months ago. It worked for the first 10 months and then stopped charging. I keep this vacuum attached to its docking station on the wall in a nice neat broom closet I use it only to pick up kitchen crumbs two to three times a week. I called Dyson and they decided I needed a new battery pack. I waited for it for two weeks. I installed it and tried charging for a few days and it still wouldnt charge. I called again (by now Im almost a month without this vacuum) and now they are saynig I need a new docking assembly. So, now i will be waiting another two weeks to receive and install it. I hope this will tesolve the issue. Update: I received the promised docking assembly that turned out just to be a piece of plastic for mounting on the wall that has nothing to do with charging. Called again and was told that they will send me a new unit after I return my original vacuum. Just checked UPS tracking and found out that Dyson received my old vacuum three business days ago. So far no communication from them. Im almost two months without the vacuum that cost me about $400.
