This is the best. Heavy duty and METAL damper. This one will last. Plastic dampers of others are very short lived.

This is a really really nice air register. It is very well made, very high quality, and looks fantastic. Far better than the normal metal one I replaced. It fits as advertised. The louvres are very easy to operate and stay shut when needed.

Fits perfectly and is very well made. The control to open/close the vents is so easy to use and operates smoothly.

These vent covers are very sturdy and stylish. We ordered the brushed nickel finish and it looks great with our new carpet. Will order more for the rest of the house.

This register vent cover is just a little less strong than the ugly old steel ones I had. It is about 25 times stronger than the nice looking plastic ones I got. Overall, this gets just under a 5 star simply because it isnt quite as strong as I expected for the price. They are very nice. On the down side, if your vent opening is not perfect (happens more often with solid slab floor) it may be a little hard to get the flap assembly pushed deep enough into the opening as the flap assembly is really expecting to have the right size opening available to drop into.

The register is well built and feels sturdy. The matt finish is nice -- a slight texture which I like. I hope it holds up over time. I appreciated that the louvers were metal instead of the plastic other brands use. Installation was a breeze. The only problem is that I still need a register for another room, but it is out of stock in the size and design I want. For a product of this quality I am willing to wait.

The top part is metal but the flaps inside are plastic and break easily. Be careful.
