> 24 hourI purchase this projector 4 weeks ago, and I have used 6 times. 5 times for bussiness presentation and one more to view a movie in home. The projector is ok for the cost. The brigth is rigth and you can see it in a room with windows and day ligth without problem in the normal mode.

> 24 hourI use this projector 90% of time to watch DVDs. I have a 150 Elite pull down screen and I can get bright image even with some ambient light in the room. The lense is wide angle and gives me much bigger image at the same screen distance than my older DLP projector. The best feature of this unit, I think, are the simple automated presets for color scheme ans aspect ratio choices (I always use HDMI input for everything going in). With this much magnification there is some pixalation and black is never very dark but I dont find it a problem I cannot live with, it is small price to pay for an reasonably priced unit with this level of brightness and flexibility. For slide presentations this projector is just perfect and I cannot imagine anything else I could possibly want for that kind of use.

> 24 hourWe were looking for a quality projector for displaying slide shows and video during proposals and training sessions. Weve purchased other projectors but this one definitely beats them. We love this projector for its ease of use, quality display and full feature user interface. We just might have to buy another one. -JD

> 24 hourExcellent picture quality, zoom options arent the best, but it will do! I bought this projector for the office and after seeing the picture quality, it made me want one for home so I am looking at the Epson 9500HD next!

> 24 hourIve been using this projector almost every day this year for videogames and movies and it delivers. Great image quality. Connected to a ps3 is a perfect match as you can play content from local area network, Netflix, bluray, etc. trough the console and deliver outstanding image quality with the projector.

> 24 hourI received this about 4 days ago and we painted the wall white, (using flat white paint, not semi gloss) as a side note, it is better to use a flat white paint, due to the semi gloss bringing out every little flaw in the wall (in our case) but anyway, we painted a surface on the wall that ended up making it a 130 inch corner to corner screen, its so cool. as for the picture quality, better than i expected. the colors and brightness is very realistic. we dont have it hooked up to directv receiver yet but i did plug in an hdmi cable from my laptop into it and streamed some 1080p youtube videos, they looked very sharp and bright. another side note is that its in our basement game room, now changed to projector room we can get it to be essentially pitch black even in the broad daylight. this helps a lot, as lcd projectors main flaw is dealing with dark blacks, but with the room being pitch black from the start they will look good. also you dont really need lights on in the room to see where youre going because the projector really blasts out a lot of light. but it looks so great, better than expected. got this for $540, its a bargain. if you have an extra $500 to throw at a projector im sure you could get a dlp or cheap led projector, but i wasnt about to spend over a grand. but this is the best projector under $600, i can almost guarantee that. the picture is sharp and bright and you can make it 130 inches diagonally and not lose any image quality. buy this

> 24 hourI did a ton of research, can you say OCD, before buying this projector. In this price range there is not a better system. The picture is crisp and bright. I purchased it for PowerPoint lessons in my classroom, but I will be using this projector for movies and more. I really love the no cool down bulb system. I was really concerned that a student may walk behind the projector and accidentally kick the power cord. With other projectors this could spell the end to the bulb, but with this feature it is only a minor annoyance. I have not, as yet and keeping in mind realistic expectations based on my research, encountered any cons.

> 24 hourI sold me EPSON EX50 and bought this one because of the high def of 1280 X 800 pixels, the HDMI entry and the convenient price. You simply cant have the 1960 X 1080 with the same amount of lumens this unint have. reaserched it and cant find one option. I was very surprised when I discovered the small size of the unit. So conveniently small. The 16X9 format makes it perfect to whatch movies, using your computer or connecting your camera to watch pictures. you dont even need to use the lamp in normal, because the econ mode really just do it perfectly. there is a raise in the volume of the cooling fan but that should not cause any disturnb. it really offers a great size, sharp image and great value. the down size is that you cant format the picture for 4X3 format. regarding EPSON support. it really worked!. My unit had a small deffect and I called EPSON support and they sent me the new one in replacement of the one with the issue. Cant be more satisfied.

> 24 hourThis is my first projector, so I didnt really know what to expect from a projector. I have seen company and school projectors so I knew what kind of image to expect. This thing is great. I use the HDMI port connected to my laptop, and I usually watch movies with this thing. Regular movies and DVDs look nice, and HD looks amazing, its not true ultra-holy-cow 1080p HD, but it is HD nonetheless. Definitely worth the money. Screens across a medium sized room will easily do 150 inches diagonally. Color is clear, bright and strong. ECO modes light brightness is great, on Normal mode you can leave the lights on and still have a good experience. The one con is blacks. Watching a scary movie with lots of blacks? Playing a game thats dark and gritty? Dont expect any real black but rather the wall as it would be normally, except slightly darker if its a lit room. This problem is easily remedied by a grey wallpaper and/or a completely dark room, but sometimes thats not possible. This is a problem associated with all cheaper, LCD projectors and not this one projector, though, so dont be quick to label this as EX71s flaw but rather LCDs flaw. All-in-all I love this thing and will be using it for a long time.
