EstateExec Estate Executor Online Software

> 24 hourThis is an online product and if youre familiar with Quicken or Quickbooks, etc, youll be right at home. There is a task list with due dates, with some pre-populated tasks that every executor has to do, and you can create your own as they come up. There is a tab for executor expenses as well as your time spent. So every hour is tracked with a description. So Id enter an expense, and then later pay it, and the balance would be deducted from the account you choose, such as the estate bank account. It keeps a running total of assets, debts, expenses reimbursed, etc. Note that a major hurdle might be opening the estate bank account, as you need a certified death certificate, EIN from the IRS (can be obtained online in a few minutes), as well as the court appointment document (possibly a certified copy -- so be sure to investigate the requirements with a knowledgeable bank rep, which will usually not be a teller or 800-number rep). If youre an out-of-state executor, it can be more complicated and the sooner you check requirements, the better. You can run reports which will later be sent to the heirs/judge/attorney/etc. The only thing Id like to see is the ability to attach files, like receipts or documents, and theyre working on it. Meanwhile Dropbox or Google drive can be used. Ive had a feedback phone call and theyve implemented some of my suggestions. Ive been working with this for about 6 weeks now, and once I got the hang of it, I really like it. Id bought a book on the topic and then actually sent it back for a refund, because this product pretty much takes care of everything. And unlike print books, its up to date.

> 24 hourI needed a software solution to track the various assets for my fathers estate. I looked at a number of different solutions, but this EstateExec has been the hand down winner. Its super easy to use, has a nice number of pre-populated tasks for you to consider, and when I was stuck a couple of times (like how to generate an asset report), their customer service got right back to me! Its great and I highly recommend it!

> 24 hourMy mother passed about 2 years ago and my dad this past January. I was named the Executor of the Will and didnt know where to start. There was no money in the checking account and I was left with a mess. Since there was no money, I was left with general expenses etc....coming out of my personal account. I met with the Probate Officer at the local court house and did a lot of reading and watching YouTube videos. About 3 weeks ago, I watched a video about EstateExec and decided to purchase it on Amazon. I immediately fell in love with the program and wished I had it back in January. Im currently still navigating Probate and my next task is completely the inventory. I opened a checking account by selling some assets and the program is doing the accounting for me as I need to submit a court approved inventory in July. Also, Dan from EstateExec reached out to me after opening an account with an open invitation with questions. I emailed him this morning and he responded within an hour. I would highly recommend this product as it has all the necessary probat forms or links to your state within the program. There is also a check list of tasks from start to finish.

> 24 hourOverall I like the software. Fairly straightforward to use, simple. I love the ability to import transactions from bank account. Had a little difficulty with the payment process with purchasing license to use software. However, Customer Service responded promptly both when I emailed and when I called and were friendly and willing to resolve issue.

> 24 hourThe EstateExec software has been a fantastic resource for me while I have been administering my fathers estate. I was a lawyer for over 20 years and now a circuit judge for almost 15 years (albeit with no probate experience), and the software helped me identify potential pitfalls which I may not have timely seen on my own. There is helpful explanatory information about every aspect of handling an estate, and the default tasks list provides a terrific roadmap for anyone administering an estate. I have not yet reached the stage of filing a final settlement with the probate court, but the financial tools embedded in the software will undoubtedly be very helpful in that process. In sum, I give this software the highest rating possible; the company is probably charging too little for it.

> 24 hourEstate Executor has made organizing my mothers estate manageable. This software has taken a lot of stress out of the task. For me there was a bit of a learning curve, as there usually is with any new software. After three days, however, I had input all the information I had collected over several months. Then I printed an Accounting Report. That report gave me a very clear picture of my mothers estate in a way I had not seen it before. Anyone who has an estate to settle should take a look at this software. I am glad I did.
