Love the Eve Energy plugs look, but they are slow to respond Everytime I switch them on & off. Would be great to see Eve fix the latency issues.

I started out with decent smart plugs out there that were around half the cost, but I am slowly replacing them all with these Eve plugs when I can afford to. They support Thread out of the box, will get a software update in December 2022 to make them some of the first devices compatible with the newly-released Matter standard, and are some of the most responsive devices in my Apple Home (HomeKit) setup. The Eve app provides a great detail view of your devices on the Thread network, and offers more color favorites one can save for Hue devices than Apple Home. The power meter is nice, especially on the plug we have an oil heater connected to. My only complaint would be the button to switch them on manually—which is the little light in the upper right corner—is a bit small. I would be nice to have a larger target to press, or at least a little more obvious its a manual switch when guests are trying to power it on.

It does function as it supposed to. It is compatible to apple HomeKit. The only problem I have with it is the tiny bit of the Lay one trying to turn on and off all day than that perfect.

Ive bought TP-Link Kasa and Wemo Thread smart plugs but I recommend Eve Energy over TP-Link and Wemo especially if you have a HomeKit hub that supports the Thread standard. The Kasa smart plugs for HomeKit are excellent and very stable. Kasa/Tapo devices are fine if you dont mind having smart plugs on your WiFi network. Eve Energys use of the Thread standard gets these devices off the WiFi and creates its own mesh network that gets better as you add devices. Eve Energys Thread implementation is much better than Belkins Wemo smart plugs. Plus the Eve app for iOS can be used as an overlay for Apples Home.app. The Eve.app also provides information on the Thread network status (which Home.app does not) as well as updating device firmware.

It is easy to setup. I already have it for several months and it never disconnect even once. It has been very reliable. Most importantly, it connects directly to HomeKit without the need to create an account or use a non-Apple app (you can choose to use the EVE app but it’s optional).

One smart plug failed but no response from Eve support after 1 week. No way tin contact or call them.

I was looking for some new smart plugs to replace my headache inducing WeMo plugs, I had the smaller newer version as well as the older bulkier versions and they were constantly going offline and would require a hard reset and resetting up in the app/HomeKit constantly. I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase these which were admittedly quite a bit more pricey but after using them for about 6 months I have only had them pop offline once, and was easily fixed by just unplugging and replugging it in and haven’t had an issue since, they are quick to respond to my HomeKit requests and the Eve app is great as it will pull in all the accessories you currently have as well from other brands. The power monitoring (watt/power draw) is sluggish and oftentimes won’t actually show how much power is being pulled from the plug but that’s a minor detail as it will show up eventually. If you are wanting a good smart plug that you won’t have to hassle with these are great.

Work as intended, connected with other Eve devices through Thread, and gives me a readout of their energy usage in the app, which I almost like better than the Apple Home app. Doesn’t drop randomly like other smart switches I’ve used.

The setup was so very easy and the integration with homekit /iphone app is also smooth as silk. Works like a champ. When not at home, the on/off switching from the Hope app is immediate.
