> 3 dayI had been wanting this PSU for some years now, but it was always expensive, 600 dollars +, or it was always sold out, so seeing it for half the price was a no-brainer. My previous PSU was a Seasonic TX-1000 and it did the job to some point, but sometimes I did notice my system peripherals were getting dim or laggy. This was a problem when I had my old PSU that was rated lower wattage for the system I had, also with next-gen GPUs and CPUs claiming to be power-hungry this was the perfect time to buy. Seasonic makes really nice PSUs and is impressive in terms of reliability, but when I opened up the 1600 EVGA box, the premium level far exceeded anything I had ever bought from Seasonic.

> 3 dayI used a EVGA G2 1300w in a previous build and was very pleased with its performance (4790k, 980, EVGA Classified MB), so when I went for a new, from scratch build (6700k, Noctua D15, EVGA ClassK, FE 1080) with intentions to overclock, I opted to go with a Titanium rated PSU, but since I only run single GPU solutions, I scaled back the overall wattage for a higher Tiered PSU. Snug fit in my Air 540 case, but it gets in there as needed. Eco mode ON, and with the modular cables you can really streamline your cables for easier work, weight and access. So far, so good. I even tested it on a known dirty line (I do this test outlet testers, PSUs and other surge suppressors to see if theyre up to snuff). Youd be surprised at how many items that claim they can handle the boom boom actually cant) and it still performed as expected. Fan only kicks on when under heavy overclocked load (6700k @ 5ghz, 1080 @ 2000+) which is nice albeit the D15 air cooler drowns out any noise the 850 would make. Just a top, notch PSU.

> 3 dayJust make sure your case can accommodate 225mm length PSU, and this will be the last PSU youll need to buy for your system. I have been successfully running 13 GPU system with this single PSU. Some prefer going dual PSU route, but youll eventually run into space problem.

> 3 daySweet Monkey. This power supply is quite impressive. Chock full of extras and the kind of presentation one would expect from such a premium product, this is clearly one of the reasons we buy EVGA.

> 3 dayPros: I like knowing that my build is future proof...for the next 10 years. Runs extremely stable quiet, really helps with cable management.

> 3 dayThis was my first EVGA PSU. I dont like the cables bundled on mine. Some pins are detached from the connectors, its easy to fix. Also Im having a hard time plugging and unplugging those connectors either on my motherboard or my gpu especially on that mobo 24 pins; its a very tight fit. I dont like using excessive force on my components.
