Very good braided (thin wires, is that good?) copper with robust, flexible insulation. Gripped on the insulation with a plier, left an impression but not broken. Soldered a lug on with a hand held propane torch, flame only on the lug, insulation fine. Very good value and only what I needed for my car battery cable upgrade.

Added a battery to the back of my Subaru. This flexible wire fed right through the firewall and console easily.
