> 24 hourThis xylophone is a great concept - the wand is attached to a string so it doesnt get lost. The string is too short though. It can only play a tune if its positioned just right. Too hard for a toddler to figure out. Maybe just an inch or two more in length and it would be perfect. Now, pretty useless.

> 24 hourLike I said on my previous purchase of toys I purchased all of these toys from Amazon because I have a great grandbaby now this was his first Christmas and I knew all of the toys that I purchased for him we’re going home with his mother and father and I didn’t have to worry about the noise that the toys were going to make around the house that’s up to his parents to worry about that I just keep buying him toys that make a lot of noise and he loves it

> 24 hourBought this toy as an Easter gift for our 10 month old granddaughter. She loves hitting the xylophone keys which make a pretty noise, but gets frustrated because the short cord pulls the mallet out of her hand. I know they made the cord short for safety reasons, but it makes the mallet practically unusable. We will be cutting the mallet free and attach a longer cord so she can actually pull the xylophone around now that she is walking.

> 24 hourGot this for my 1 year olds birthday and she loves it. It took her a few weeks to figure out how to hit it properly. Now shes jamming out. It makes a pleasant sound. Its fun for adults to play to. I have already figured out a few songs. My daughter is a chewer though and did chew off the paint on a few keys. Shes already quite adventurous and we have to make sure it doesnt turn into a skateboard or step.

> 24 hourBought this for my 8 month old son. I know this product is recommended for 18 months plus, however, I was anxious to find out if my first born was a prodigy. He was not. This product is of good quality and sound. The string that connects the mallet is of decent length for a child to help reduce tangling and keeping the mallet from getting lost, but can be hindering to an adult that is trying to express themselves musically. My child primarily keeps the mallet in his mouth and once in a while accidentally lets it drop on the xylophone causing it to make sounds. I, on the other hand, have learned Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Black Sabbaths Iron Man.

> 24 hourReasonable price for tried and true kids gift. Granted, it isnt as heavy as the one from my youth (never mind that era) which makes it easier to handle, maneuver, and potentially keep it from becoming a weapon while the tot flings it around (hahaha). The string attaching the drum stick is too short to get solid sound on xylophone - probably to avoid a strangulation hazard. I removed the drum stick from the string which allows for better sound. You can always reattach if tot wants to drag it around in the wheels. Nice gift!!

> 24 hourIt is exactly what its supposed to be. Baby likes it, husband likes it, its a winner. I know the string is so short for safety, but an uncoordinated baby/young toddler sometimes has an issue using the stick because of the string. I just cut it off and we deal with losing the stick sometimes. Luckily you can bang on the keys with about anything.

> 24 hourPurchased this for my one-year old great-niece and she loved it! Her little hands can hold the wand and make beautiful music! The colors are bright and vibrant. She can entertain herself or an adoring audience!
