> 3 dayThis seems like a perfect carrying case for newer than 2013 iMacs with the thin edge bezel and no CD drive. But Gator Case claims this fits 09 and newer iMacs. Unfortunately, they dont without user modifications. The small foam blocks that they provide to support the monitor in the case only accept thin bezel iMac displays. 2009-2012 iMacs are almost an inch thick at the base and this will cause the entire unit to rock out of place inside the bag. Id cut the foam to make it fit, but the fabric sewn around the foam block is too form-fitting to work. To top it all off, when I called Gator case, their customer service rep didnt even know that they sold these cases. Waiting for tech/customer support was non-existent, and now Im trying to determine if I should send this back and use the original iMac carrying case, or try the iLugger. As I said, it was a nice case. I wanted to use it, but trying to simply get customer support to explain how someone should pack a 2009-2012 27 iMac into this case only left to disappoint. And to top it off, the blocks do not suspend the iMac base off the bottom of the case. So if someone sets this on the floor too hard it may destroy your hinge join or cause and SSD mounted drive to come loose inside. (I wish they would have included two more foam blocks to fit the previous models).

> 3 dayI love Gator cases and use them religiously for all of my gear; mostly guitars/basses/keyboards. I got this case to move my 10+ year old iMac across the country. This case fit everything and more (keyboard, mouse, cables, external hard drives, etc) and protected it all for the duration of my 2,000 mile journey. Can’t recommend Gator enough - you get what you pay for with them!!

> 3 dayWhen I bought my iMac at Best Buy, the gentleman who sold it to me said, Dude, theres no way you are going to port that to work every day. Well, thanks to this case, Im able to do exactly that. While I havent really tried to use it in the case like they do in the demo, Ive had no trouble loading it up and taking it to work every morning. If you have an iMac and need to be mobile, this is the bag for you!

> 3 dayLa usamos para transportar mi estudio desde Guatemala a Los Ángeles, se tuvo que ir con todas las maletas, la tuvimos que chequear, nos aseguramos de indicar a la aerolínea que era frágil y listo !! Mi iMac llegó intacta, esta maleta resultó perfecta, muy buen material, vale la pena la inversión. Súper recomendada

> 3 dayThis bag rocks. I’m a designer and can work on a small screen. So I’ve been traveling with my 27” Apple Thunderbolt Display now on 3 different work trips (6 flights) and it has help up brilliantly. The bag weighs about 43 lbs with some added socks and a few articles of clothing for cushion. I also purchased an ikea AXAG pillow for $3 to cushion any hard blows even further. So far no issues what so ever. The back held up well. The only caveat is if you have long legs your foot will hit the bag every-time you take a step.

Greater than one weekIts a quality case, but $220 is just way too much for this thing, especially for a soft case. Its almost as expensive as a hard pelican case! I bought this out of necessity because I was tired of repacking my iMac into its box when traveling around. I had hoped this case we more compact and tight, but not so much. Its cushioned a little bit for setting in a trunk but wouldnt feel very safe setting much on top of it or checking it on an airplane. Every time I use it I wonder if I should have just paid the extra money to get a hard case, then at least id have that option. Id say if this thing was $75-100 less Id be content, I just keep cringing at that $220 price tag and dont feel wonderful about this purchase.

> 3 daySo I love this case. Very protective. Well thought-out. Easy to use. It is bulky but so is your iMac. It solves a problem and the quality is obviously terrific. Good price point also. I only write below comments as suggestions on how it could be EVEN BETTER....in case the manufacturer happens to read these. 1. dont need the rear pocket. iMac only requires cord, keyboard, mouse. All of these fit inside the case underneath the iMac. Could get rid of the rear pocket which would slim down the overall size. Provide a cushioned/zippered pouch for accessories to go in the bag. 2. Heat issue: it does get warm in the case during use. You can solve this by folding the small top flap over towards the back of the bag. Heat rises and will dissipate. You will lose the shade or cover provided by the flap but no big deal. 3. Front flap of the bag folds down and lays in front of the unit. Its kind of in the way. You can hang part of it off your desk (still in the way) or fold it back so that some of it lays under the actual case. This seems the best but then the entire unit is tilted upwards which doesnt feel natural when looking at the screen. Solution: redesign the bag so the front flap hinges from the top. Then during use, it would fold over towards the back and away from the user. I would still highly recommend this carry case to anyone who travels or carries their iMac to work.
