Greater than one weekThis was just a damn good story! Well written, hard to put down, amazingly original given the subject matter and it wrapped up in a very satisfactory manner. Of all the price O crap books that get turned in to screenplays, you finish this and wonder why no studio picked it up.

19-12-2024By no means is this the best fiction book Ive read. I know that Harbinson put an incredible amount of research into the book, even fleshing the premise out to an entire series (Projekt Saucer) and a non-fiction book describing the theory of earth-based flying saucers. The plot, in spite how far out it may seem, is laid out such that it seems chillingly plausible. While large sections of the book are long, and seem too much like Im reading a textbook, I find the premise facinating. The idea that these flying saucers, and alien abductions are some sort of pre-cursor to one mans desire for world domination gives me chills. So much so, this book is one on a short list of books Ive read more than once (Im finishing my second go-around with it). I guess my largest issue isnt what he says, but how he says it. The book can be very dry at times, and there are long stretches of dialogue that sound more like a college professor lecturing a class than what you might expect in a sci-fi thriller novel. The book itself never really draws me into it; I enjoy the book because Ive already been interested in UFOs ever since watching the X-Files growing up. Thus, I would recommend the book really only to people who believe in UFOs and the air of conspiracy that surrounds them. They would be far easier converts than someone looking for a fast-paced sci-fi novel.

Greater than one weekAfter reading this book twice now, I still feel that it is one of the best books that I have ever read. It seems to be a timeless book, one that will still be entertaining long after flying discs fill the sky. Apart from the fact that it is a gripping book which you will be hard pressed to put down, I personally find it inspiring. There are several good ideas presented within the context of those pages that definitely merit a deeper look at. Dont take my word for it, however, look and decide for yourself. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

> 3 dayI first read this book twenty odd years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it . . . saw it in the Kindle store, bought it, and enjoyed it just as much the second time round. Harbinson writes a great UFO story based on his extensive archival research, and the whole premise of the novel will thrill the conspiracy theorist in you. If words like UFO and conspiracy get your mind working, grab this one . . . and wonder, what if

> 3 dayAn excellent book on UFOs. Based on actual facts and past history, it reads like a true story.

> 3 dayOne of my all time favorite novels ever. Read it back in the early 80s when it came out and amazed how many of the ideas still hold up through today. Excellent book and a must read for SciFi fans and UFO buffs everwhere.

> 3 dayHarbinson brought an amazing number of facts and events together to wind quite a fun and intriguing tale. True? God and Wilson alone know. Enjoy!

> 3 dayI have read this book twice in the past, both times in paperback verssion. I loved it! I recently bought it for my Kindle and was very disappointed when I began reading it. It is obvious the publisher only used a spell check program on the book and didnt have someone actually read it. Dropped words. Repeated words. Wrong words (can you say autocorrect?). All of these errors are very distracting and break the flow of the story when you have to try to figure out what word is missing, or what the word should really be. Did I mention I am only on chapter 4? I am very disappointed in the quality of this book.

> 3 dayNow Im not an editor but I do notice errors in almost everything I read. I just have an eye for them. Usually I find one, maybe two. But this book had spelling and grammatical errors on every page. At first I thought maybe it was part of the experience but it wasnt. It was so bad I found myself not even paying attention to the story but just looking for the next error. I sent it back after I was half way thru. It made me nervous.

Greater than one weekI read this decades ago and always wanted to reread it. Ancient Alien theorists say, Yes! Great book.
