> 24 hourIve been using these for almost a year. So far, 2 of them had died/fried on me and Ive had to replace it. I dont see any other products that do exactly the same thing (monitor consumption) or I would try another product if it seemed like it was higher quality. The app works well. The energy consumption records a line graph, but doesnt really break down the actual time of the day the energy is being used so now that the utility company is implementing a variable rate based on different times of the day, this isnt enough to figure out how much $ of electricity is being used. It is reasonably priced for what it can do, I just wish they wouldnt die so often. Install rating is 3* because its very finicky to get connected to the WiFi. If it would connect to the WiFi on first attempt, it could be 5* installation.

> 24 hourMake sure you turn off the breaker. Thr live wire and neutral wire are properly marked with red and black. Comes with all materials to make this a safe installation. Connects to wifi.

> 24 hourThe Wi-Fi Smart Wall Outlet has a complete installation kit and clean design. The wiring is easily connected with the included screw on caps. The faceplace snaps on after installation. The barcode for the required app is on the box and instruction manual which can operate alone or connect to your alexa device. Each outlet can be turned off or on manually with the buttons or wirelessly. I would prefer a installation option without the additional app registration requirements. Name your outlets whatever you want and control it with your alexa device. It flashes brightly when it is disconnected from the app.

> 24 hourAwesome product. Needed to DL the Gosund app to link it to my Alexa which was easy. After that I’ve never used the Gosund app. Each outlet can have its own command. Also located on the outlet has a manual power on and off for each plug. Product is good to go. Havent had any issues with connectivity so far.

> 24 hourNew review: Here’a an update on this. After writing this review, I found out that my daughter-in-law had tried to use a power washer to clean her car while the receptacle was also charging my car. The receptacle is rated for 15A, but I can’t imagine how much current was going through it while the power washer motor tried starting up. It’s no surprise that it was damaged. I also have to say that the company’s customer support was very quick after I posted my 1-star review. They contacted me right away and tried to resolve my problem,. Since this wasn’t a regular purchase, they could t refund or replace it, but it it was a regular Amazon purchase, it would have been resolved almost immediately. Frankly, I’d rather replace a $25 receptacle than have my home wiring overheat and become a fire hazard inside of my walls. I’ve since replaced it with the exact same model, and it’s been working perfectly. I’ve disabled the second outlet so that it can’t be overloaded again. I really love this receptacle, and the app control and energy monitoring are great. I have no problems recommending this gadget, but I would suggest that you don’t use it where multiple heavy-load devices can ce used simultaneously, like in a kitchen with an air fryer and a microwave plugged into it and they might get used at the same time. Keep your total usage under 15A, or 1,i00W. Old review: This receptacle worked well for a little under a month before it died. I installed it in my garage to power a Level 1 evse (12A) so I could track the energy usage. The receptacle is rated for 15A, so a 12A constant load should have been ok to use with it. This doesn’t seem to be the case. A couple of days ago, it simply stopped working. It wouldn’t power up, illuminate any of the LEDs, or connect to WiFi. I removed it from the wall and opened it up to see if I could identify the problem. The internal fuse had blown, so I replaced it and reinstalled it. It powered up and connected to WiFi, but when I plugged in my receptacle tester, it showed a ground fault. I decided that it wasn’t worth opening up again. This might be a good outlet for light duty, but I don’t think that it’s good enough for long-term heavy use. That was disappointing, since it was really great while it worked.

> 24 hourThis is a nice outlet in I have other types of plugs but to have the entire outlet turn on is an added bonus. I dont have to turn things on one at a time. This was very easy to install. It didnt take my husband long to install at all and the instructions to hook up to Alexa were very easy

> 24 hourThis is a great product to use to turn devices/appliances into smart devices without the cost. I added this to a routine to turn off the power to the outlet at a certain time so my son isn’t up all night watching tv and it was so nice to be able to set it and forget it. Install was just as easy as a regular outlet installation and only took me about 5 minutes total.

> 24 hourIve had and installed a bunch of different outlets similar to this item. When I moved, instead of going with the brand I had been using (which was zwave) I figured itd be worth trying out some of the very prevalent Wi-Fi outlets. The ability to work without a hub, but also integrate into a smart home automation system, seemed nice. One plus to this vs. my older outlets: both outlets can be controlled independently, both via buttons (clearly labeled) on the outlet, or via the app. All my old outlets only had one controllable outlet, with the second outlet always powered on. Having extra control is a nice plus. Getting the outlet paired up and working was simple, certainly easier than zwave or bluetooth. If you do multiple, once you get the hang of it you can pair a device up in under a minute.

> 24 hourI ordered this as I wanted to replace one of my outlets so I could use it as a smart outlet. While the outlet works, as a smart outlet, it is definitely generic. You have to download a 3rd party app that is definitely used for multiple generic brands, however once its setup, it connects with Google Home and I can use Google to control my outlet. I would recommend this outlet, with the exception that it may not last as long as a brand name device.

> 24 hourArrives with everything you need to get the outlet installed in the wall. It is an in-wall device that fits in a standard single-gang wall outlet. Nice that it comes with screws and a face-plate that fits. Getting the outlet connected and configured is a bit of a hassle. Phone app is simple, download and install on your phone. Make sure you connect your phone to the same wifi youre connecting your outlet to. I had problems getting it connected to my 2.4GHz WiFi router. Once it did that it seems fairly straight forward and its nice each outlet can be controlled separately. I do wish I could control it with my phone locally without having to go through their server. Some things I dont need outside of the home control and dont want to broadcast usage of everything to whomever may be accessing their server data. Overall its a pretty nice device, easy to physically install, looks nice and works.
