> 24 hourI use Govee for all of my smart home devices, including the thermometer/hygrometer. The upstairs in my apartment gets very hot, so I wanted to put a fan at the base of the stairs and use the smart plug to turn it on when the temperature gets to a certain level upstairs. No dice. Didn’t find out until after I connected the smart plug in the Govee app that this is not possible, and after looking around online, it turns out that this is a common complaint. Will be returning as I have no use for this item.

> 24 hourWithout an exaggeration I can honestly say Govee products are some of the easiest to install. Easily under 30 seconds from opening the box I had the product installed and operating from my phone. It was as simple as just adding it to my existing set of Govee devices through the phone app and connecting to my network. I used their API to let me control the device directly through curl http commands so I can do home automation scripts that automate the turning on and off of the outlet at predetermined times or based off events. I like the peace of mind of having an ETL listed device and the extremely cheap price!

> 24 hourI like these and have a few in use around my place. The app is great, getting them online is a piece of cake, and programming is as easy as I gets. The only drawback Ive found so far is the amount of light the blue LEDs throw. Thats a lot of light in a dark bedroom, where I have bedside lamps on daytime timers. Simply shutting down the outlet would turn the light off but it would also kill power to lamps that may be needed during the night -- having to fiddle with my phone to get to the app to turn the outlet back on so a lamp can be turned on to light an urgent jog to the bog is as tortuous as it gets when seconds matter! Is there a way to kill that otherwise helpful blue beam? I need sleep, not nightlights.

> 24 hourThese are an economical and functional option for bluetooth outlets. They are not silent, you can hear the solenoid when the unit is switched on and off, but they are not excessively noisy.

> 24 hourEasy to set up and use. The only thing I don’t like is the plug being on the front. They are a lot easier than the other timers I had.

> 24 hourSuper easy to install and connect to google home. Use it to set a schedule for the Christmas tree, no more having to connect and disconnect the tree. I can also ask google assistant to turn it on and off. I had one of the plugs not work, but the rest were fine.

> 24 hourThese plugs are great in that I didnt have to turn the 5ghz wifi band off or anything for them to connect. They did so easily and quickly. Idve given them five stars if they werent so big and bulky.

> 24 hourIt’s not just this brand, but this is the brand I own. These blocks stick out from the wall almost 2 inches. By the time you plug something in, the block and plug are 4-5” away from the wall, which means now furniture in front of an outlet (tv stand/dresser etc) must now sit at least 4-5” away from the wall also, leaving a giant gap. A design where the actual outlet was at the top or side would eliminate the excessive bulkiness!
