It’s a very convenient ironing pad. I bought it to use with my htvront heat press when I need extra pressure. It works perfectly.

was smaller than expected

I do have an ironing board which is a pain to get set up(making room for it), a thick wool pad to the left of my sewing machine for pressing quilt blocks as I make them. Now I have this which is great for traveling and sewing, going for classes, and if you live in a two story or more house, you can set up a secondary sewing location with this heat pad to do any needed pressing. I like having duplicates of things that I use right by my main sewing machine at any secondary sewing spot. This saves steps for me. I try always to conserve energy o keep from fatigue. I chose this mat to go along with a smaller press iron Im using for applying vinyl to fabric. Its the perfect size for my smaller press as it enables enough room for me to layout the fabric and glide the press along as Im securing my cutouts. I dont know much about how these mats work as far as distributing heat but I do know everything Ive created has come out perfect so far. This mat has enough cushioning that I dont have to worry about heat bleeding through to the surface below. Im thoroughly happy with this choice and would totally recommend to friends and family!

I love it! Size is perfect for toddlers shirts or small bags! Heat resistant!! I would get the bigger one too
