I purchased this as a necessity for internet service while I am in a contingency location. As most of the pucks out here are mostly 3G, I needed to look for an awesome alternative. Huawei is a brand I recognize, and the companys products are top-notch based on the ones Ive used. Love it, and it is a very easy set-up. When you load the sim card, you can also access the website that is provided to you (like a router) and customize the options specifically to your tastes. If this one by any chance ever lost all functionality, I would definitely buy from Huawei again for my traveling needs.

I have this little unit in the back of my house and I use it to access the internet on my laptop when I am in the front of the house, about 8 meters or 25 feet away. I dont know how long the battery lasts, because I just keep it plugged in. I am using it with Digicel Fiji. (4g). Its fast, and easy to configure. The instructions are clear and helpful. Make sure you get the correct APN and set it up yourself. Its pretty easy. The people at the Digicel office took an hour fiddling with it and didnt know how to make it work. I took it home, looked up the mobile internet configuration instructions on THEIR website, followed THEIR instructions, and I was online in 5 minutes. Moral of the story: salespeople in cellular provider shops are just that. You may know more than they do, so dont be afraid to just do an internet search for the APN (access point name) for your provider before you assume that the device doesnt work.

This worked flawlessly during our entire trip to Ireland and thank heaven we had it. It allowed us to have our GPS working on our phones the entire trip along with being able to Wi-Fi talk, Etc. A lifesaver!

A very handy product. Worked for me directly after inserting the SIM. No need for fiddling around. Speeds are reasonable. Battery life is not that great. It lasts probably for 4 hours with full use, otherwise it lasts for at least a day.

Like it a lot. Truly unlocked. Worked right away with an international sim. Wish the battery lasted all day but its really great.

Not compatible with numerous data plans.

I would never buy a Hauwei product since it purely Chinese, and with China engaged in theft of intellectual properties. Devices from this manufacturer its guaranteed that monitoring from all their telecommunications products will feed the Chinese IT GOV. BUY BEWARE, ANYTHING SHARED ON THESES DEVICES WILL BE COMPROMISED.

After about a month of using this product the battery will die even when you have it plugged in to charge, not worth the money
