HYTE Y60 Modern Aesthetic Dual Chamber Panoramic Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Computer Gaming Case with PCIE 4.0 Riser Cable Included, White (CS-HYTE-Y60-BW)

Wanted to give this case 5 stars as there is nothing functionally wrong with the case and it looks great. However after ordering this case I noticed that the pack of accessories needed to build in the case are missing. This functionally makes the case a fantastic door stop but useless for building as the necessary parts are missing. Will update this review if any new developments occur.

Great product and high quality

This case by far is the best Ive ever built in. To start I switched from a Corsair 5000d airflow to the Hyte Y60. My corsair sounded similar to a jet engine while under load with a 3080ti and ryzen 5900x. load temps were in excess of 80c. My Hyte runs 70c avg under load and it is quieter than the 5000d. If your planning on using liquid cooling you are best off using the side intake panel for your radiator. There are several benchmarks on youtube comparing top vs side mount and side mount is the best by far. Also there is enough room there to do a push/pull on your radiator as shown in the pictures. Half of this case cost is in the pcie 4.0 riser cable. It is a quality cable as is the case itself. The only con I found in this case is the lack of space in the cable management area for cleanly mounting the fan and rgb controllers. However no one is ever going to see that if you stuff them under your PSU or in the opening below the side fan intake. Id forgo it looking clean over the functionality of this case any day.

Easy to build in, love the case!

I had seen multiple builds with this cases larger brother and liked the look. When I learned they released a smaller version I knew I needed to build in it. I haven’t built since 2017 and some of the tolerances in this case are tight. But the panels all snap off and on easily giving plenty of room to work. Also cable management is supremely easy with an abundance of tie down ports. The issue I ran into which is on me personally is I bought a 360 radiator for the case thinking about putting it on the side…it can only be placed on the top. Which is what I did but then needed to buy two more 140 fans for the rear as intake. All in all I love this case it looks nice and is a bit different than the current fare on offer from other manufacturers.

I love the design of this kit! It includes a Pci-e 4.0 riser (pictured). This case may not be beginner friendly if youre trying to replace the stock fans you have a do a little bit of disassembly. Im trying to figure out how to remove the top piece of the case to install fans as writing this review.

This case is great for smaller GPUs. Larger GPUs under load will get an excess of 80C+ and will have trouble getting enough cooling due to the GPU being an inch away from the glass. The 3 separate glass panels can be removed but Hyte really dropped the ball leaving gaps between each panel. Would highly recommend picking up the EZDIY FAB PCIe 4.0 GPU multi angle mount so youre able to move the GPU further back to allow for more cooling. Its a shame something 3rd party is needed to provide proper cooling that Hyte did not think of. This also case does not allow for horizontal mounting GPU unless youd like to cut the back panel to be able to fit the GPU.

So far the only bad thing I really have to say about this case is if you dont have a fan covering every inch you can see right through the grills on the back and side. It was a very nice case to build in. The glass panels pop out and its very easy to fit parts.
