Greater than one weekWhen separating the 2 wire pair the conductor was exposed where they had been joined. i.e. the insulation split open allowing the conductor to be visible - see 2nd picture for a close up.

> 3 daySo I wired my first boat stereo and amp with non-tinned wire. Dont do it! You will have corrosion issues eventually, usually in about 2 to three years... This wire is perfect, well protected, very flexible and manufactured to withstand the elements. Hey cheap out if you need to, but if its your boat, do it right!

> 3 dayPurchased Klipsch 650 outdoor speakers and used this 12 gauge wire to wire up speakers mounted on horseshoe light poles approximately 60 feet from my screen porch where I have a Pyle PTA44BT 4 channel amplifier...perfect match and sounds great! Quality tinned wire, just buy it!

> 3 dayGreat wire for boat, reason for a 4 star rating was when splitting the wire for + & - the casing for one of the wires split open, and left exposed wire. Ended up using shrink tubing to seal it back up. Just be cautious when ripping the two wires apart, or use a razor blade.
