Leaving out all of the typical troubleshooting you would normally do with a custom build, the only real problem I had was windows selecting a balanced power profile automatically on startup after I got everything put together and running. The balanced power profile was causing the 10700kf to perform sporadically in my recording software (Studio One 5 Pro) and led to power throttling in the Intel extreme tuning utility. Deleting the balanced profile so that windows was forced to use high performance or extreme performance seemed to fix the issue. So far I havent been able to overload the cpu in any applications. Overclocked to a solid 5.0ghz. Very happy with the performance I get out of this cpu.

Dropped it in a ASUS TUF Gaming 590Z M.B. with a new intel 700 series PCi Express 1 TB boot drive FAST BOOT 12-15 seconds. Plus I got Gskill DDR 4 3000mhz 32GB memory. Im cooling it with a CoolerMasterAIO 240, stays at 26 deg. Celsius idle, never gets hotter than 59 deg, celsius under load!

You will need a great air flow into your case because is a hot cpu, but incredibly fast. Recomended.

I like this CPU for it was so fast at the time as a medium gamer. I dont understand at first the letter code after the model name that this CPU can be overclocked. Im not a heavy gamer so I does not bother me but maybe in the future Ill give it a try.
