A new manufacturing process and a new core design makes electrons go Brrrrrrrr. About time Intel. After resting on their laurels for what felt like a decade after Sandybridge theyve finally gotten their act together after AMD clawed its way back Apple jump shipped for Arm.

Everything I read said itd be super mega hot - and so I paired it with a 360mm AIO. So far, temps are GREAT.

This chip runs cooler then my i7-9700k and uses less of the cores. Actually super happy with this upgrade. The new retention was alittle weird but overall great value. Fyi make sure you get the right cooler in my case i had the corsair h150i elite capellix so i had to order the new retention kit from corsairs website. You can use the old backplate it comes with just the screws are shorter. The cpu is thiner.

Insane value at $310 massive upgrade from 9700k make sure to get a good b660 or z690

While this is a great CPU with all the bells and whistles, but for gaming there is not real reason to go with this rather than i5 12600K(F). This may shine in productivity tasks where core count matters more, but overall its a decent CPU.

Paired with a z690 motherboard and Scythe Mugen 5 cooler, the performance is on par with a 12700K (see the picture).On a z690 or b660 motherboard with good VRMs, 12700F can run at high power rating (PL2) continuously. And, a better cooler than the one included, Scythe Mugen 5 for me, keeps the CPU cool to avoid thermal throttling (never exceeds 70C under any load). When paired with a good cooler and motherboard, the performance practically matches 12700K. The latest CPUs are no fun to overclock anymore as they draw too much power and cooling becomes too expensive and noisy for the little performance gain. So, I went with this CPU and completely satisfied.

El procesador es muy bueno, lo compre para la PC de mi esposa y el rendimiento es excelente. Lo compare en programas de productividad con mi 5900x y están muy a la par con la ventaja del Intel de soportar PCIE 5.0 para las nuevas GPUS.
