when your looking for an extension cord, you want something than can hold up to the elements. this is one beefy cord. it has been out in the rain, driven over by cars and atvs. this is a verry rugged extension cord.

Its easy to find 30 amp RV extension cords, but it is difficult to find anything, much under 30-25. I was able to purchase this 15 extension cord, which is perfect for my needs.

I ran into an issue with my camper where my electrical cord wasnt long enough to reach the power outlet. I had a smaller gauge extension cord which wasnt ideal, but I had to make do. I ordered this to keep in the camper at all times so we wouldnt run into that problem again. Its a really nice, heavy duty cord that is the same gauge as my campers cable. The one thing I didnt notice until it arrived was that it had the right male end on it but the female end was different, not just from the male end of the cable, but different from what I needed. Thankfully I was able to order a replacement female end and was easily able to cut off the wrong end and install the correct one that I needed. I havent had to use it yet, but I didnt plug it in and try it out at home for a day, running ac and everything and it worked perfectly

Sturdy, heavy duty 10 gauge. I have 70ft from my outlet to camper storage spotn property. Ive tried 12 gauge 50 ft cords but ultimately overheated the female end while doing the pre-vacation prep. This cable is heavy duty enough to withstand any power demands my 30 amp camper could need.

My motorhome has a 30 Amp 20 foot cord that is getting a bit long in the tooth and showing some wear in the insulation so rather than relying on my wife to do the outside electrical connections I elected to get a new hookup cord. I looked over several brands and determined the The Iron Forge Cable looked to be the most suitable for my needs so I ordered it. I was impressed when I received it as to how sturdy the construction is and the material quality looks to be top notch. The cord is a bit heavier (2 lbs.) than the one it is replacing but the flexible tough vinyl covering of the cord looks to be quite a bit thicker which is a good thing for durability and safety. The pedestal plug is beefy and has a molded in pull handle for easy unplugging when it is time to break camp. The only box I couldnt check was a power LED showing it is live but the MH has one on the plug in port so I dont have to play the run inside and check to see if the power is on. All in all I was surprised at the quality for the price and the Lifetime Replacement Warranty and with this new cord I can do the electrical hookups and my wife can relax and focus on fixing adult beverages and cooking dinner.

I dont always have the luxury of parking right next to the power monument when I camp at horse shows. This is the perfect solution. I can park a reasonable distance and still be able to plug my LQ horse trailer in (very important for summer shows when you need AC). Great quality, and a great price.

This seems like a very rugged extension cord - but please verify it will work for your purposes as this is not a standard extension cord. It is a NEMA L5-30R on the end which means you cant plug your standard RV power into it and get an extra 50 feet to plug it into the 30 amp pole - it has different ends. Aside from that, we also received it with a bent prong. We did bend it back and everything still seems sturdy and rugged, but thats a little concerning. I cant say for certain if it arrived that way or if it happened as a result of what I presume is a standard chucking of a rolled up extension cord into a car.

Dont make my mistake - this is NOT an extension cord in the traditional sense. After years of RVing I never really realized that these 30amp cords have different connectors on each end. You CANNOT string them together without the aid of an adapter... so I basically got what I already had, a cord that goes from the RV to the shore power box. (But I think there are adapters available to buy.)
