After minimal use the “leather” bottom is shredding. This bag has not been exposed to any extreme conditions and should not already be deteriorating. Very disappointing.

Oldest loves it

Overall, this backpack is made very well and I will definitely use it. However, I wish I had paid a little more attention to a close-up photo of it because I might have noticed that the zippers are hidden by fabric. Aesthetically this is wonderful but practically it’s not. The fabric is a little stiffer than it looks to be in the photos. That shouldn’t be a downside, except it’s kind of hard to zip and unzip the pockets because you have to keep pushing the somewhat stiff fabric out of the way. Even when it was full, I had to tussle with the zipper a bit. I’ve used it for several days now, and it takes more time than I would like to get everything zipped up and then later get everything zipped open without having to mess with the fabric. I hope the fabric becomes a little less stiff with age, or I can picture myself becoming very frustrated with it the more times I use it. If I had seen this at the store and played with it a bit I would not have purchased it.

It’s a good backpack, has lots of place for storage while not looking like a bulky bag. The only thing I wish it had was pockets on both sides like where you can store bottles or put gum or other small items. There is only one pocket on the left side.
