I purchased these to replace a pair of embroidery scissors I had been using for appliqué work. The micro-serrated edge is like miniature pinking shears that help prevent fraying before you have finished sewing a piece. The handles are very comfortable. I like them so much I am thinking about picking up a second pair that is slightly larger for use in cutting out patterns and fusible webbing.
