I got this for my daughters 5 gallon aquarium in order to turn on and off the light. It was really easy to set up through their app and so far (about 1 month later) works perfectly. I would definitely recommend it to all the people as you dont need to be an expert to set it up.

I love that fact that you can use the other part of the plug while this is plugged in. Unlike the other larger ones that cover both receptors. Also, so easy to set up!!

This is a decent smart plug considering the price. It works, and it will connect w/Alexa. The side button for manual operation works better than a front button for applications where it might be behind a dresser, appliance, etc. The downsides, and the reasons I consider it an average product are: - Requires an app to configure. Really, the last thing I want is another app on my phone, especially to control smart devices in my house when my goal is to consolidate in Alexa or Smartthings. None of my other smart plugs require a third-party app to connect, they are simply discoverable. - Significant lag w/Alexa. I have this plug controlling an LED light strip under my kitchen cabinets and its grouped with my other kitchen lights. While every other light comes on immediately, there is always a lag of several seconds before this plug responds. More of an irritation. - Tends to start falling out of the outlet if you have something bulky plugged into it, perhaps with a transformer integrated in the plug vs an everyday plug (like for a lamp). I think this is because of its primarily horizontal orientation vs a vertical orientation like other smart plugs I have. It hasnt fallen out altogether yet, but whenever I look at it I wind up pushing it fully back in to the socket.

We have had some garage break-ins in our area and someone recommended I get one of these for my garage. Using the app on my phone lets me set the timer. Now I don’t have to worry about anyone using a garage door opener to get in. Great product.

I used it for the bedroom lamp, pair with the google home, first pairing by kasa app then link the kasa account under google home. It still works well until now after about 3 months, I have move the location and that time and just need to reset it and do the same things, no issue. I also love the design, i look cool, no take over another plugin slot

Great product, easy to install and works well with Alexa. Timers are easy to set and forget. After trying, Ive bought several. My only complaint is that its a bit bulky. I understand the need for the depth, but with it wasnt so wide. Its not practical for use on many power strips or multi-outlet wall sockets because it will overlap over other outlets.

I said many great reviews -- really for the part number HS103P2, this is the single item version. Three nits: The box it came in said to Get the Kasa for Mobile app. Well, at least at the App(le) store this gets you the wrong app -- nothing close to being a TP-Link app. Secondly, I spent a long (pleasant) time chatting with tech support only to find out that it could not be setup on a network with three active channels under one SSID. (Had to shut down all but one access point to get it to setup.) Thirdly, once setup, it will always use that original channel even if there are stronger channels available. (E.g. after setting it up, I turned my other access points on and moved the HS103 across the house. Original channel was weak, HS103 would not use another much stronger channel.) Beware of this issue. Otherwise, a slick piece of hardware.

I mostly use these so my living room lamps and over cabinet lighting are on a timer. They come on in the afternoon, and turn off around the time we go to bed. The over cabinet lights are on all night to give the kitchen a subtle glow. The app is also nice. Ive used other products with buggy apps, but this is easy to use and doesnt have the bugs that the other apps have. Its reliable.

Its very easy to set up with the Kasa app and works great with Alexa/Echo. Its not expensive and can add a bit of home automation. I bought two of these small plugs for our TVs and an outdoor one for our inflatable pool. It does add some bulk to the plug so make sure you make room for that. The plug goes straight in. Here is a picture of the TV plugged into the Kasa Plug, then into our surge protector behind our media cabinet.

I found that Kasa is very responsive and easy to use! So simple that my six year one son can use it on his iPad or our Alexa. Our air conditioners are plugged into the units and we have them timed to go on at 6:30. We also tell Alexa to turn them on or off for us. During Christmas, we used it for our tree. We want to get more of them so we can easily turn things on and off easily. We have had them for a year. No complaints at all!
