The interior is really as padded as it looks in the pictures, super-padded, and very soft. There is even a padded edge that wraps around your laptop to protect it. > 3 dayI originally got a size the exact dimensions of my laptop after reading the reviews, but ended up bumping up to the next size up. I have probably a half inch of space from the zipper to the laptop, but I would rather have that than the zipper having to squeeze so tight around it. Definitely a perfect purchase though! I stick this right in my regular day-to-day bag and its incredibly convenient (and cute!)
