> 24 hourA lot of people say K&N is just an overpriced filter and doesnt do anything special. If any of those people have actually had to change an oil filter, theyd realize that the fact you need no special tool to get off this filter, just a normal socket, that makes it worth its weight in gold 100%. On all of my motorcycles, the filters get stuck on their and not even OEM filter tools get a good enough grip to easily get them off. Im fed up of saving a few bucks that I just go with K&N on everything now.

> 24 hourFor the most part, oil filters perform pretty much the same as each other, however, I use to epoxy a nut to the end of oil filters to help easily access installation and removal of oil filters... but K&N oil filters have this built into the design! It may cost a dollar more, but the time saves and the mess is easily worth it! The casing is a but thicker gauge and my customers know K&N (air) filters so its a item I keep in stock.

> 24 hourI like it because of the ease to install with the twist off feature on the end of the filter. The shortness of the filter for my application, a 2013 Yamaha FJR 1300 motorcycle is bad and good. It went on easier because it is so short but I have a concern about its filtering capabilities also because it is so short. It is not as long as the OEM filter from Yamaha. I will see when the oil is changed next what kind of filings it has in the chamber. Otherwise it fit well and was my first time using this particular filter

> 24 hourUsed this filter for my first oil chnage on my bike, went on perfect. The nut is only for removal not for installation. I did you use it anyway but be sure to only torque to spec and do so slowly other wise you will break it right off.

> 24 hourI use this filter on my 07 CBR600RR and have had no problems with it. Ive run both standard and synthetic oil again with no issues. I mainly use this filter because of the convenience of the socket wrench removal. Futhermore, if you want to follow torque specs, this will actually allow you to torque it down to a specific value with a torque wrench. Personally, I use the German method...Guten-tight! Great filter, great price. Amazon, you so great.

> 24 hourIts a filter. What can I say? Good fit and short of analyzing the oil, one can only assume it is doing what it is designed to do.

> 24 hourI put this on my Yamaha FZ 07. Great product. The nut on the end makes it handy and its the same size as the oil plug. Perfect

> 24 hourBeen using these on various vehicles for some time now. I have an end-cap wrench for my Yamaha OEM filters, but once in awhile it doesnt grip very well and I got tired of stabbing my filters with a screwdriver to get them off. The little welded nut on the end of these K&N filters is genius and it allows me to use my torque wrench.

> 24 hourAbout a year after installing this filter, I got a recall notice from K&N explaining that certain filters may leak. My filter appeared to be leaking. Rather than just replacing the filter, they wanted an application completed, proof of purchase, and a couple of pictures of the filter indicating the small numbers printed on the bottom. Needless to say, since the filter was still on the bike, photographs were not possible. I did, however, complete the form and found an Amazon receipt, photographed it all and sent it to K&N. That wasnt good enough, needed to be scanned! I finally gave up with all their requests and requirements. Too much aggravation for a $10 oil filter. K&N makes some great air filters, but their customer service leaves something to be desired.

> 24 hourQuick and easy install/removal for my CB500X. The nut welded to the end allowed a chance to put the proper torque on install and a quick and easy removal when it came time to change the oil. I didnt cut the filter to inspect the filter media, but I had no issues and would expect K&N to make good stuff. Much better than the stock filter I had to punch a screwdriver through to remove.
