Its a nice item but it is several centimeters shy of a great fit for a WD portable hard drive. An Amazon kit is a much better, safer fit.

Good hard disk case

I bought this for my Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB Portable External Hard Drive and it fits perfectly.

To protect my Travel HD

I use this for transporting or second backup drive around. I swap drives every few days, and this case is so sturdy that I just leave it in the bottom of my bag with the extra drive in it. So glad I bought it, it makes swapping the drives so easy.

This is a very nice case, the only problem is that the drive I have will not fit well. I have a 2tb passport, which the product details say will fit, however when you finally get the drive in the case, nothing else will fit with it, not even the short usb cable. The padding in the middle is simply too thick for a 2tb passport hard drive.
