The child for whom this was spied it on the toy shelf, asked, “Is this for me?” and commenced to playing with it immediately. This toy was very age appropriate and satisfying that child could build and then play with it. He needed no help.

Birthday gift

Bought this, along with all the construction duplos I could find, for my 2 1/2 year old grandson for Christmas. Finally got to visit with him for his third birthday, and was really impressed with these sets. He has hours of fun with them, and an easy time building, or “re-building”, them. Having several of them goes well with his interest now in imaginative play. They fit well with his Brio train sets too.

My kids grew up playing with these durable, timeless toys and now we’re getting them our grandkids.

Young children would have difficulty assembling some of it, but an adult can help them to follow the pictured instructions. Granddaughters love construction vehicles but WHERE ARE THE FEMALE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS? Duplo folks…you need to add at least one in these kits!!!

My 3 year old son loves the DUPLO line of LEGO. They are easy to assemble, sturdy quality, can be mixed and matched for open ended play, and great for motor skill development. Though LEGO is a little expensive, it truly is a quality toy.

I bought this for a 20-mo child. He loves it! Its easily constructed. The 2 people and accessories that come with it are great. I wish the rock were just one piece, as it does come disconnected fairly easily. Its not like it has value as a duplo brick, so theres no reason not to make it one piece. If they ever do that, they should keep it large, as this is large enough that it doesnt pose a choking hazard.
