The only thing that disappointed me was that it is much smaller than I expected.

This is one of our very favorite lego sets. Its fun to put together. It takes time, and it is very enjoyable as a puzzle. Once its put together, its beautiful and durable--and its just fun for playing. That big side door opens. There are three figures: Harry, the driver, and another man. There is also a shrunken head. The gear shift moves. The bed moves. Its just so well-planned. You will love this piece.

Our Harry Potter fan loved this set. Quick to build and fun mini figs.

I had an older version of the Lego Knight bus, but the purple bricks were too tempting for other builds so its pieces are scattered. This version has a lot better windows and just looks better overall. THe old one looked like three train cars stacked on each other, this has more of the curves from the real bus. You get three minifigs. Harry’s face has two expressions. There is even the shrunken head! Play value is also better as you can take off the top deck and also open up the side to access the two bottom levels inside. There is one bed, and the minfigs will fit in it. The bed also moves around (like in the movie) as the bus moves. The chandelier also swings around as well. Overall just nice detailing. Built it is little over 6 inches tall and 6 inches long by about 2.5 inches wide, so it is not that large. Some of the pieces are a bit fiddly so I would stick with the 8 and up age for building. I am getting irritated at Amazon shipping Lego boxes in envelopes. The last 3 sets I have ordered have come this way, and the boxes get damaged. If you care about that, you may want to consider this issue.

Excellent for my 7 year old nephew. Great instructions and beautiful toy when built. He loves it and that’s all that matters!

My Harry Potter fan was all kinds of excited about this bus. Shes 12 and put this one together pretty quickly. Of course, its only 403 pieces, so a smaller set in comparison with a lot of the themed Lego sets. At 12, she doesnt really play with these sets so much as put them together and display, but she did play around a bit with this one. The Knight bus scene is one of her favorites in the movies, and this set comes with everything a child would need to recreate it, including the talking head! Ok, so the head here doesnt actually talk, but its a nice little detail. As Lego sets go, this is the same great quality I expect from the brand, and the price is pretty reasonable. A little higher than some sets this size, but about average considering the popular theme. As much as my kiddos love Legos, and the hours of enjoyment they get out of them, theyre worth every penny. Plus, Legos are a great way to get them away from the electronic babysitter and engage their minds on bad weather days when they cant be outside.
