After Ive had some time with the laptop, I can say Im glad I made this purchase. It has an additional slot for RAM expansion (just make sure its seated properly), so everything boots up quickly, make sure if you use it for gaming you download the drivers for invidia, it plays AAA games easily, the screen looks great, you will have to keep it plugged in playing any games, zoom kills the battery also but Im sure thats every laptop, not running those programs, Ive gotten 4-6 hrs with school work, delivery was on time, I would suggest putting the laptop box, in a smaller box because the one it came in was chewed up by USPS. My 12 year old had been begging for a laptop that could handle games better. Mainly Minecraft with about 100 installed mods. He also makes vids and a news report for the family. This laptop is more than enough for all that. Its ram can be increased if needed. Its hard drive can be increased if needed. These are cheap upgrades that can be done at any time down the line. Mainly, I wanted to be sure it had a decent processor and graphics card. Those are the hardest to upgrade in a laptop. I wasnt going to spend $1000 on a laptop for a 12 year old, so I wasnt seriously looking. Then I saw this over the summer, with an amazon pay plan and thought, have it paid by Christmas. Done. The look on his face was worth it. Actual 2 minutes of silence. It runs great and hes got it integrated with the house. I did put in parental controls because there is too much undirected trouble available out there and because I dont want him to live in his computer, and hes a 12-year-old boy. As far as performance goes, I have a higher end laptop with an i7 and GeForce video card. This one performs just as well for the kind of things he does. A lot of people buy the Corvette and never drive faster than 90 mph. This isnt the Corvette, but it will do the 90 easily.

Works well for its price can play most games and has good battery life.

I just received the laptop today and first impressions are the build quality, overall responsiveness and the ease of use of this laptop is extremely positive. The sound quality was amazing compared to my old HP Pavilion and I upgraded the system with 16GB RAM and a 1TB HDD. I would say this laptop is well worth the sub $1000 price tag. Plus, Im from Sri Lanka, which is on the other side of the world, but the shipping and handling went by super smooth. Wishing the laptop would not have any problems within the 1 year of warranty or else Ill have to ship it back to the US to claim it.

It works really good, quality amazing. Only downside I have to keep it plugged in but that doesn’t really bother me.

I do llike this laptop, but dont get me wrong, I was expecting to play for hours and not for one hour without having to charge the laptop again. So just keep an eye on that... this laptop is great for starters for gaming.
