This monitor is balanced and capable of being able to handle the needs of works and allowing me to unwind after work playing some video games with friends. I can honestly say this will be a centerpiece on my desk for many years to come. My one dissatisfaction with this monitor is the ability to easily switch between the inputs. The picture quality is much better than I expected and has been the perfect addition to my office. Additionally the versatility of this monitor allowing me to switch between views to better assist me when working and gaming. Although I havent needed to use the built in speakers very often they do come in handy and sound extremely clear when needed. The base is stable and offers an adjustable height to allow the best viewing angles. The base/swivel is surprisingly sturdy and the monitor itself looks beautiful. Only nitpick would be some very minor backlight bleed but I only notice it on Beyond Two Souls so it could just be a Beyond thing

The color banding on this monitor is truly ridiculous, ruins any video with a hint of darkness in it. While the stand is great, the menus are unintuitive and the picture ruins the monitor for me.

Perfect for my husbands gaming

Horrible color banding makes it unusable.

We have a computer set up in our house for 4 gaming stations. This monitor is our latest addition and is part of a dual monitor station. It was incredibly easy to set up - no more than 3 steps. The most confusing part was there is a button for settings under the front of monitor (some are in the back and some are on the sides) where we needed to switch the input to DP. The screen kept showing to confirm ok for DP and I couldnt find where to confirm. Then my son who did the shopping found it for me and it worked immediately. Just know the controls are on the bottom front of the monitor. We had a side by side comparison of the monitor screens and this one is stellar. It is being used as the primary monitor of a dual monitor system set up. I would strongly recommend.

I dont know if its just the monitor I received or its just how LG TN panels, but the black uniformity on this is pretty bad, color becomes washed out during dark areas and it becomes somewhat grainy. Color banding is god awful especially in vibrant areas like over the water or the sky for pictures/games, as there are noticeable lines/washed edges across the color gradient. This ruins the otherwise smooth fast response time performance from the poor color ranges from this monitor, killing the immersion of videos and games. Im definitely returning. Hopefully this is just a lemon I got? Im too worried to rebuy this LG monitor so I went for another brand.

I was genuinely surprised by the quality of my 24 Gaming Monitor. The conception of this monitor is very outstanding for the price range. The tilt can easily go up and down and switching from portrait to landscape is as easy as breathing. The installation of the monitor as never been that easy. No screw, just plug and play! I use it now as my main monitor for Gaming and Website Testing jobs. It is definitely the best use for this monitor. Concerning the software. I had some issues concerning the AMD FreeSync at the beginning until I downloaded the LG software. It wasnt clear if the software would be compatible and I had to try. OnScreen Control can be downloaded directly on LG website and it works perfectly with very neat splitting screen options. The other con I would have and that is not major at all, its about the darkness of the screen. In movie mode (or manual mode), the black is more anthracite than deep black. As I draw regularly, I dont use this screen for the design as the screen colorimetry is very good for gaming especially. So far so good!
