This is an incredible little projector. Stop looking at the weird off-brands on Amazon that youve never heard of, this is worth the extra cost! This has a great picture and it runs on battery as well as the power cord. The only things that I dont like about it is that it defaults to the TV app (i dont have cable or an over-air antenna) and i think the remote is kind of trash.

I just received the unit today so these are my first impressions. Most projectors around 3000 lumens are 300 Watts or more, and I do not want to burn $40 a month just for electricity on my projector. So I wanted a 1080p projector good enough for a semi-lit room, semi-portable, not more than 1000 lumens or 100 watts. This is possibly the only projector on the market that fits the bill. Pros -Great 1080p resolution on a portable projector -Decent software, can watch Hulu, Netlfix, Youtube etc without needing to connect it to a PC. 600 lumens is good enough for a semi-lit room, and only consumes 65 Watts max, unlike other bright projectors that need 300-400 Watts. -I did not have the problem or forgetting the wifi password that others mentioned. -I did not have any difficulty with the remote or the menus. They are not the best, but they are quite useable. -Autokeystone works when the projector is pointing up. Cons -The major issue is with zoom. If you zoom to have clear picture in the center, it will be blurry near the edges. And vice-versa. What is the point of 1080p if poor zooming is going to ruin it? Unacceptable for a $650 projector. Sony projectors do not have that issue. Even a cheap Vankyo V600 projector does not have that issue. -Also, you cannot adjust the throw, you have to move the projector closer or farther from the screen to change the screen size. At this price point this is forgiveable, you usually have to pay more for adjustable throw. -There is a HORRIBLE bug, which makes keystone work incorrectly when projecting to wall at a level lower than the projector. (Or when projecting forward to the ceiling). Then, keystone distorts the image in the wrong direction, making it even more distorted (i.e. a parallelpiped, instead of an orthogon). LG, if you are listening, you HAVE TO FIX THIS BUG, it is totally unacceptable. Conclusion: If you want to show a powerpoint presentation, text may be blurry in the middle or edges of the screen. In movies, it is not as noticeable. If you want to lie in bed and project to the ceiling, a bit forward from the bed, auto-keystone will distort your image in the wrong direction, making the projector unusable.

Love this little projector. Great picture, brightness is ok, especially for a portable wireless rechargeable projector. Only complaint I have is that every time you turn it on it defaults to the TV setting. We are using this in a conference room and do not have any Antenna hooked up to it. So the first thing you see every time you power it on is the static screen and static sound that you get when you do not have a TV signal. There is no way to change the default startup setting to one of the other inputs which is pretty sad in todays market. I would like to see LG put a firmware update out either allowing the device to remember the last INPUT setting it was on when powered down and power up to the last INPUT setting. Or change the device to allow you to set the default startup INPUT to anything other than TV. As I said that is my only complaint, great product otherwise. Perfect for our Conference room.

Not really a fan of this projector. For the price it should be easier to use and it doesn’t really work with my apps Or my iPhone. Picture is good even in a bright room

So far I love this projector. I am not very tech savvy to be fair . I’ve had no issues using it with my Nintendo switch , my iPad , my iPhone ... picture is outstanding. Easy to set up.

This projector is superb! Its like Im watching on a very HD LED tv. Portable and lightweight, all pack with almost everything you need. The only thing is, I don’t figure out how to connect through airplay, or maybe there is no airplay but miracast. Overall, I dont regret buying this projector, it is worth the price..

To preface this review, this is my first time owning a projector. Overall, im pleased with my purchase of this. If you can catch this on sale then dont hesitate...its still a solid buy at full price but if I had to do it again, I might have waited and spent more on a higher end projector. Its small but mighty. A great thing about it is that it does not take up much space at all, so you can put it anywhere. Also, the built in battery makes it nice in case you decide to go mobile or have a power outage. There are two HDMI ports on the back of the unit which is nice. While im using both, you do have the option to use the imbedded apps in the home menu so you can really maximize what you do/dont need. If youre any type of an audiophile, the built in speaker is not going to be enough. I added an external pc speaker system to it and can was able to get the type sound I like. Its a 3.5mm jack so find what works for you. So between the external speakers, xbox, and firestick all attached to the projector, I have a lot of wires. Luckily my coffee table (which I cut a hole in) is low enough to hide the wires and powerstrip from view, but high enough to have everything plugged in. I wish the picture was brighter. For a projector thats not 4k, I think the level of detail is absolutely fantastic. Its not hard to see intricate detail at all, and makes for one heck of a movie night. As my primary viewing apparatus, this projector is NOT suited for well lit rooms. My living room gets a lot of bright indirect sunlight, and renders the projector basically useless. The darker you can make the room the better, and the picture above with the most clarity was taken in a completely dark room with no sunlight. The pictures above were taken on the vivid setting, which is the 2nd brightest setting. Anything else below vivid is dark and makes it hard to see. This projector shines with sports and video games. Regular tv/streaming is nice as well, but some of the colors dont look as good as they do for games and sports. If youre looking for your first projector, this is a solid entry level buy.

I tried six of the top-rated full HD, battery-powered, portable projectors and found this one to be the best. Compared with other portable projectors, this has the best picture, most intuitive on-screen menu, and a true 2.5-hour battery life. You can get an additional 2.5 hours of projection time by plugging the LG PF50KA into a portable, rechargeable battery, such as the HALO Bolt 58830 ($110 on Amazon). (5.23.19 UPDATE: One reviewer noted problems with focus; I have not.) CAUTION #1: When comparing projectors, do not be fooled by brightness specifications in the product title or spec section that simply say lumens rather than ANSI lumens. (ANSI = American Nation Standards Institute). If the specs say LED lumens or just lumens, please recognize that your are reading advertising, not a real measure of brightness. The LG PF50KA is measured at 600 ANSI lumens. Thats as bright as any battery-powered portable projector on the market today. For apples-to-apples brightness comparisons, you need to know the ANSI lumens of each projector. CAUTION #2: When comparing projectors, be sure to check its native resolution. Just as with lumens, there is a lot of advertising fluff that contains abbreviations such as HD. Keep in mind that almost all modern projectors can play video files that were filmed at various resolutions, but they will downgrade the fidelity to what the projectors graphics processor and native lamp capacity are. (Analogy: You can watch a 4K movie on your HD TV, but it will show up in HD, not 4K. You would need a 4K TV to display a 4K movie.) The LG PF50KA has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (width x height in pixels) considered Full HD by industry standards. It will display a 4K (3840 x 2160) movie at Full HD (1920 x 1080). Always check the native resolution of your projector so you know the maximum definition that projector is capable of displaying.

Bring Full HD clarity anywhere: With its built-in battery, the PF50KA delivers up to two-and-a-half hours of video at up to 100-inches. Find premium content fast with LG webOS Smart TV. Screen Share adds cordless convenience for compatible smartphones and tablets, in addition to Bluetooth connectivity for speakers and headphones. Smart TV service providers subject to change. Subscriptions for premium content possibly required, at additional cost. Native Resolution : FHD (1920 x 1080) (Full HD resolution with 2.1 million discrete pixels projected by XPR [Expanded Pixel Resolution] video processing).
