I use this monitor to edit in Lightroom and Final Cut and it is really good especially because I can connect my MacBook to it via thunderbolt. The only time I see issues is when im gaming! The the monitor sometimes glitches and its not very good with dark settings but other than that the colors are perfect if youre just editing or making content.

Screen quality is great but read below: After months of having this monitor and too late to return it. I was looking for split screen or PIP with different sources connected to the monitor inputs and found out it does not exist. to my horror. I never imagined a $750 monitor would have this feature missing. My crappy $200 Samsung has this feature in the menu settings and so does my other LG.

After much research, I ended up buying this monitor graphic design. I watched a ton of videos and read so many reviews. Nothing seemed perfect...as what I really want is my old Apple Cinema 27 cinema display! (Ive been through 2 of those and both didnt work well with my new MacBook pro. The connection wasnt reliable and the screen would blackout. I got rid of both of them and decided I needed to move on.) This monitor was really the only one I could stomach from an aesthetic point of view, but I was worried because I read about some of the color issues in the reviews. I was looking to spend under $500. The Dells are highly rated, but they were more expensive and not as nice looking. Onward to my experience and addressing some of the issues I saw in the reviews: 1) Some reviewers said the stand is flimsy. Its not as great or solid as the mac stand, but its fine and sturdy enough. No issues here. 2) One reviewer mentioned that her display was tilted a bit and she couldnt get it straight. Mine was tilted a bit, but just put a little muscle into it and got it straight no problem. 3) The font on the display was way too large. I found a setting in systems preferences to make it smaller, looks normal and crisp now. 4) A few mentioned that the color is off, they are too bright and saturated, almost neon. I did experience this. In order to fix it, I did as some reviewers recommended and turned off the High Dynamic Range setting in the display preferences. 5) Also, It was confusing when I first plugged in the display. A menu associated with the display (so not controlled by my mac) was asking me to select ok. Without my cursor from the mac, I couldnt do this. That is when I discovered the important power switch and setting switch on the monitor under the LG logo. The controls on this switch are very clunky, but after spending about 15 minutes with it I could see where I can adjust the brightness and some other settings. 6) This monitor comes with speakers, but you cant control the sound from your macbook pro. Since Im using this at home for work, I was frustrated when I wanted to listen to a podcast and the sound came in through the display too loud. There is an adjustment with the settings under the LG logo on the display, but thats a hassle. So I went into system preferences on my Mac and changed the setting back to MacBook Pro Speakers, so now the sound is coming through my MacBook and I can easily adjust the sound. So if you are like me and using this for work/design, you might as well save some money and get the version without speakers. So the bottom line is it took about an hour to fiddle with settings until I got a good-looking image that matches my MacBook Pro. I just got the monitor today, so Ill add to this review if I come across any issues. (I dont add to this it means that I like the monitor and its working fine for my needs as a graphic designer.)

Got this for my home setup to replace my LG Ultrafine 4K at the office. Figured Id try saving the company a few hundred bucks. When I first hooked this thing up it looked godawful and was ready to put it back in the box and shell out for another Ultrafine. Colors were awful, with brighter colors almost fluorescent and edges looked like someone had run a Photoshop Unsharp Mask over everything on my screen and cranked it up too high. But playing around with some settings, I found an HDR setting that is defaulted on. Turning this off, and then cranking up brightness to 100% and reducing contrast has this now looking about 100% better and almost indistinguishable from my $700 Ultrafine. To a more attuned and calibrated eye, the differences may be more substantial, but my eyes arent bad and I dont require any kind of insane level of color accuracy in my work so I am happy with this monitor, especially considering the cost difference. Also nice to have some standard USB ports on the back as we all know not every peripheral uses USB-C nowadays (and I had to have a couple dongles coming off the back of my Ultrafine) so dare I say I may actually prefer this monitor. The ID is not bad either. The frame is pretty minimal, and the stand doesnt take up too much space. Only consideration I didnt think about was that it doesnt have a built in webcam. So I ended up just picking up a $20 Logitech cam that plugs right into the back and works fine. If youre on the fence, and wondering if you need to spend more for a high end 4k chances are you probably dont.

I purchased this after returning the Samsung M80B as it gave me a headache. This thing had perfect color (for my needs at least) out of the box. Pros: Easy to set up Tons of connections options Stand has the perfect tension for going up and down Picture looks great even if the blacks cannot get as dark as a VA panel Very easy on the eyes Cons: I dont like the control button placement on the bottom. I have a controller that I have to move every time I need to get to it Contrast is not quite as rich as the Samsung VA panel I returned Not a native resolution to my Mac Studio although I dont have the wallet for the 5k version

Not the greatest monitor I’ve ever owned but not bad for the price. Only gripes: 1. The arching stand is atheistically pleasing but functionally ridiculous. Takes up a great deal of real estate on the desk and does not seem as stable as a more traditional monitor stand. 2. Why on earth would anyone send the manual on CD in the year 2023? Either print out a one pager on how to navigate the menu system or give us a QR code to find it on your website. I just want to plug and play, not go through a wild goose chase to find out how to use all the features I paid for.

Bought this for my M1 Mac Mini and it works perfectly and looks great. I dont game, so no rating. Ive come to like the control button on the bottom of the display. Easy to find while being invisible. Be advised it comes with both USB-C and HDMI cables, I ordered cables with the product and didnt need them. Started by using the USB-C connection but ended up using HDMI as the M1 Mini (original) only has 2 USB-C ports and then the HDMI port would be unused. Switched using HDMI which also bring out audio. Works great either way. At full resolution, working with multiple documents is painless. Youll need goos vision though! Why Apple calls this display mode more space rather than label with the resolution, I have no clue.
