I had been looking at two different monitors and I finally decided on this LG Ultra Gear monitor. I have to say coming from a very old monitor (with VGA and DVI) I am beyond impressed with this monitor. Its a steal, I got it on sale for $346.99. The brightness is higher than I expected and the menu is beyond easy. Just so everyone knows I used this with my Xbox Series S and it was fully compatible with AMD Freesync Premium and 1440p 120fps. I dont know if its the Xbox or the monitor but if you have HDR enabled your framerate drops to 60fps which is fine with me cause the only time I would use HDR is with movies. The only downsides are quality control. Backlight bleed and dead and/or stuck pixel are relatively common and multiple people have had reviews on this monitor saying it has a dead pixel or severe backlight bleed out of the box. I had no dead pixels and a very VERY tiny amount of backlight bleed at the top. I dont know if Im lucky or if they just fixed some production errors. I also was missing an HDMI cable that comes with it. All in all very happy with this monitor and would recommend to anyone in the price range.

Its a shame that these have a known defect of shutting off randomly and temporarily. Ive never had a monitor do this and researching online for this specific problem yields many results not mentioned in most reviews. Typical workarounds include installing monitor specific drivers, using specific Nvidia drivers, trying different cables, and adjusting power settings in Windows. They are a great value for the price except for this one specific issue. Not a great gaming monitor if it shuts off in the middle of a match.

I had connected my PS5. It had a black screen and flickering but maybe it was the 4K that was not supported on the monitor. Idk, I unplugged power cord and plugged it again and worked. It looks great and all the positive reviews of the specs are true

The monitor itself is very nice and the image quality is also great but from someone who has just switched from 1080p 240hz I could tell the 144hz difference quite a bit more than expected. The material the frame and stand are made of are like fingerprint magnets. Once that finger print is there there is no such thing as wiping it away its the weirdest thing. Also if you have a curved monitor and are planning to switch to this one maybe try to see it in person some how first because wow I didnt think a curved monitor made any difference but to my surprise it makes a huge difference.

I like the monitor but it seems a bit short. Is there a way to increase the height? Or do I need to use a monitor stand to elevate it? Thanks.

It’s a great monitor, it worth the price 1440p gaming and 144 Hz, and it has a lot of features. Make sure to wait for when the price drops. The stand is very high quality.

This monitor performs very well. It’s fast and great for competitive gaming. With that said, the picture quality is just awful. The anti-reflective coating LG uses is so grainy, at first I thought my screen was dirty. It’s immediately noticeable when looking at a white background. It looks greasy and grainy and text is horribly pixelated. I can’t recommend this monitor for that reason alone. Save your money.

I got this as Id never had more than a 60 FPS monitor, but didnt want to compromise on 1440p quality. This monitor definitely delivers on both and at quite the price point makes it a steal. I would definitely recommend this monitor to others.

Works even better than how I thought it would. Easily worth the money. Bought it for gaming and HDR looking nice.

FPS, thats whats important. I always thought to myself, self I really want 4k graphics and Im okay locking my eyes away at 60fps, mediocre land is alright. Well then I kicked it into overdrive and bought this bad boy, because lets be real curiosity got me and my friends were like hey this is good. So I turned it on and it turned me on, to smooth framerates like I had never seen before. Destiny 2 (tm) plays so smooth and clean, rocket league (tm) also plays incredibl, understanding timing of things on screen and where to react and how, its all so important and awesome and I really enjoy my gaming experience now. At first I did miss the extra 2k I dropped to accommodate frame rate, but now Im set and not looking back. Seriously dont look back the screen sits in front of you.
