> 3 dayThe only input on the monitor that supports a refresh rate above 120hz is the DisplayPort input. This works great for PC gaming. Both HDMI inputs do not support anything above 60hz. This means that both of the new generation of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, cannot be played on this monitor above 60hz. I wish I wouldve known this before purchasing, as I do enjoy this monitor for the most part.

> 3 dayThis is my second g-sync capable monitor and Ive got to say that this one is my favorite. The physical build of the monitor is nice, buttons where I want them and slim bezel on the side and top. Im using it with a 3060ti and the picture looks great. Im sure there is better out there but for the price to performance I am ecstatic with this purchase.

> 3 dayQuite pleased with this monitor so far, it is actually overkill for my needs. I particularly like the ability to put a cross-hair in the middle of the screen as it helps with some games.

> 3 dayOverall 9/10. Wouldve been nice to have height adjustment (docking one star for this) 10/10 for gaming and picture quality though.

> 3 dayWorked great until 1 day after the return window closed (!!!), then it started flickering like crazy whenever it was in HDR mode at 144Hz. Was happy until then. Now I cant use it for the features I specifically bought it for.

16-12-2024I bought this monitor to replace a dying monitor, though it ended up as a significant upgrade over the old one. 144Hz refresh rate makes the mouse pointer much easier to find, and Im not limited to 60fps for games. The multiple inputs makes it possible to connect additional devices (I have a Nintendo Switch connected to it in addition to my PC). This is the third LG screen Ive bought and I have no reason to give up on them. My only gripe is a minor one: the placement of the button/nub/whatever you want to call it could be easier to spot. Its on the underside of the bezel below the LG logo. Otherwise, I recommend this screen and I may get a second one in the future to replace another old monitor in my triple-screen PC setup.

> 3 dayIve read reviews here complaining about stuck and dead pixels and other image oddities with this monitor, and either Im unusally lucky and theyre really unlucky, or this is just a great monitor that got jumbled around for some people in shipping - because for the last 2+ months the picture has been flawless and jaw-dropping in its clarity and contrast. I picked this monitor after my old 24 Dell developed a weird, intermittent power-socket problem that had it shutting down whenever so much as a house fly would land on the cord. I took it apart to inspect the sockets solder joints to the PCB and they were solid, which led me to believe it was an issue with the power supply circuit itself, likely a failing cap or something. But after using that thing for close to a decade it was time for an upgrade anyhow. So I did some well-spent time scouring a whole bunch of online Best of review pages for 27 2560 x1440 monitors, and when it finally came down to a toss-up between this LG Ultragear and a Gigabyte M27Q this one won, mostly for being almost 73 bucks cheaper. The Gigabyte has a slightly faster refresh rate - 170Hz vs 144Hz, and a 0.5mS response time rather than 1mS, but Im not a heavy-duty gamer running a mega-overclocked $4k gaming PC with a graphics card that costs as much as my whole system, so those werent persuasive enough to get me to part with the $73 extra - and Im thinking even hardcore gamers would be hard-pressed to spot any appreciable difference between the two. So LG Ultragear it is. The biggest downside is that there is exactly one (1) physical adjustment that this monitors stand allows, and thats: Tilt. Its a fixed height so no up-down at all; theres no rotation joint for landscape/portrait orientation like the old Dell had (but not something I ever used anyway,) but there isnt even a side-to-side rotation joint on the base. That last is inexplicable and an annoyance because its a useful adjustment especially when you have a small and cramped desktop, but given the otherwise-flawless nature of this product I can deal with it. *And* it looks really, really cool, with the red-and-black color scheme on the reverse side - if thats visible in the room where youre using it. The only other problem I had was that I could not get the HDMI ports to work with my graphics card (an AMD,) so I had to go buy a DP cable that would reach. That may be a glitch with the graphics card rather than the monitor, so I give the benefit of the doubt on that one. But once connectivity was out of the way, no problems. Ive been using this for just under three months with no issues and continued amazement at the image quality and contrast. So if youre looking for a truly great 27 monitor that has some impressive technical specs for the price, buy with confidence. If youre feeling flush, go have a look at the similarly high-rated Gigabyte M27Q - Amazon product code B08JWCHR5N. But at $277 you cant beat this LG. Happy camper here.

> 3 dayThis monitor does not have true HDR. If you read the fine print on their website and the manual, this has simulated HDR, not true HDR. Very noticeable when you compare it to a True HDR monitor.

> 3 dayi think you get what you pay for and i should have spent a bit more. This monitor while better then the 1080p benQ it replaced, this was not the game changing 144fps monitor i had hoped for. It lacks the visual range i had hoped for but had heard complained about in other reviews ( i should have listened to them) Its not horrid but this monitor could definable stand to have much deeper black tones and better over contrast and brightness abilities. but if mid tones is where your gaming sweet spot is this is the joint for you.

> 3 dayGreat screen, but if it happens to die on you suddenly, it may be a dead power cord. The OEM cord died after 8 months for me, but there are superior replacements on Amazon.
