This is the 3rd impeller Ive had for this filter in about 8 years. They seem to wear faster than impellers on any other brand of filter, but they also do a great job of cleaning. I believe sand and this impeller are simply not a good mix; stick to aquariums with gravel.

So happy I bought this! I have a 15 year old Marineland Emperor 400 on the original impeller. Decided it was probably time to change even though the original was still moving water. Now the filter REALLY moves some water. So happy!

This works great in my Marineland Emperor 280! This replacement part has been redesigned to be heavy duty!! The issue with the old part is the plastic cups that are located at the top and bottom. If they arent position correctly, they will wear out. This issue will lead to a loud noise.

I would have bought these at the same time I bought my filters if I knew what kind of difference they would truly make. It is crazy how much quieter my filters are now that I replaced the impellers with these bad boys. Talk about a world of a difference! I highly recommend these for any body that has a loud filter. I have sand as my substrate inside of my aquarium and it is always getting caught up in the filters, the stock impellers could not handle it but these have no problems and are still completely silent after two months of owning them. Definitely worth the purchase, they will make a world of a difference in your house!

Bought to replace original Impeller in Emperor 400 Pwr Filter - new on Aug/2019 . (Only 2 1/2 years old) New Impeller did fix no water flow to spray bars issue. Also ran very quiet. (Well see how long this Impeller lasts.) Somewhat over priced. (Also see Youtube re repair Impeller by glue. Also tried this & it DID work).

Have a Marineland Emperor 400 that was rattling loudly. Inspected the impeller and noticed it was worn and had some slop in it. Purchased this and BLAMMO! No more rattling! Just a nice water flow sound...ahhh....

Perfect fit, installs easy. Fixed noisy filter, Emperor is running perfect again.

My filter runs like new again! It saved me from purchasing a new filter.
