This backpack is perfect for what I wanted it to do. I use it to keep racing radios headsets and scanner for when we go to the races. It folds open nicely to give easy access to the headsets. I installed a 10,000 mah powerpack which allows for charging our cell phones when they need it. It is USB-A which precludes the quick charging, but I knew that going in and was ok with it. The one external slash pocket works great for carrying a bottle of water. Overall, this is a great backpack.

Ive owned several, several travel bags up until now. To the point that my wife thinks I may have an addiction. Of course to that I say, yes. And I have no issues with it. Mark Ryden has definitely been a brand that caught my attention quickly. The overall quality of the items I have (two backpacks) have been superb. This travel bag can fit up to 3 days worth of travel clothes. Maybe more if you can pack just right and really cram it in. Even then, it never felt heavy when I took it with me on trips. I like the buckle style closure at the top and the fact it has the roll look, was a definite plus for me. I dont know why that style has been growing on me lately, but it looks stylish nonetheless. Weather proof, took it out in the rain and everything inside was still dry. Water beads off the exterior without any issues. Color looks true to description. Cant really say anything more than what Ive said already. This makes for a great gift for anyone you know that loves traveling. Highly recommended.

First, I would like to compliment the aesthetics of the bag. It actually looks pretty nice, sophisticated, and professional from the outside. The outside compartments like water bottle pockets and side zippers are well designed but theyre weirdly designed where you would ask what am I supposed to put here??? I can only imagine putting my laptop charger in the side pockets but why would I when I can just put the charger in the same compartment as the laptop? The reason why this bag got an overall 1 star is because it doesnt even fit 17.3 and laptops! The laptop conpartment is designed to fit 15 laptops and thats about it. No extra space for a tablet, no extra conpartment or zippers to store the charger or other devices/items. In my pictures I demonstrated that I fit my 17.3 laptop into the compartment but that was with 3 minutes of fiddling, trying to hold both sides open just to fit the device in. This compartment should be designed to let the laptop slide in and out easily. Another picture, I showed what the laptop looked like outside of the little compartment. With that, you can see that there is barely space for anything! All you can do is fit at most 3 notebooks or at 1 textbook with a laptop. Im not even talking MacBooks here because theyre not standard. Im going based off of a standard Windows laptop or chrome book that has a typical design; none of that slim and portable because the average person isnt going to have that. For a 17.3 laptop backpack, this can barely hold anything. 17 laptops are larger and with that you should expect larger charging bricks. This backpack barely has any space once a laptop goes in! In another picture I show the side zipper where you can supposedly slide items in and out including a laptop. Well good riddance the zipper isnt even tall enough to pull my laptop out. Mark Ryden gets 1 star because they at least made a good looking product. But this backpack is practically non-functional bexause you cant even fit anything in there. Its a joke.

This is a nice looking, well built pack with a premium feel. The roll top design gives it a lot of expandability, there are plenty of pockets it appears that it should be relatively durable. I havent taken it in the rain, but it certainly appears its going to be quite water resistant. Not as much as a true dry bag, since it still has flaps and zippers, but Id be confident for rain showers and the like. The USB / Micro USB port is a nice touch, with its own internal wiring and a place to put your battery bank. No USB-C, however. The main downside to roll top design packs (not specific to this one) are that your main access is from the top, so if you use it for packing clothes and gear youre going to be digging down through the top opening to get to everything. These types of packs dont clamshell open. There is a large zipper on the side of this pack that will give you access to gear or let you slide in a large laptop without having to open the top. On the other hand, you can unroll the top of the pack and easily carry items that are quite long or bulky or fit in dirty clothes that seem to double in size vs. when they were clean. The straps are very comfortable, though theyre not exceptionally thick especially where theyre sewn into the main body of the pack. As long as youre not overloading the pack I think it should be fine, but I wouldnt have minded seeing some extra thickness to the straps in this area. Overall this is a very nice looking pack which appears best suited to travel, day-packing, office or school use, etc. and will give you a lot of options for storage and some protection from the rain.

It’s is made of sturdy material with multiple pockets. Inserted battery for charging via USB - works perfectly. Feels comfortable when riding on a motorcycle. It fits my Dell G15 pretty well. Placed foam inserts at bottom to help cushion even more contents other than laptop. Overall satisfied with purchase.

This is an amazing bag for commuting, whether by train or bike, and any walking in between. It fits my Macbook Pro, with plenty of space for my iPad, Switch, chargers/cords, headphones, notebooks, planner, pens, as well as my wallet, snacks, any other items I need for the day. I could use it as a weekend bag, would fit 2-3 days of clothes, but this is not what I wanted it for. This bag is extremely secure, which is exciting if you are on trains, in crowds, or on a bike while getting to work. Your items will stay well protected, from people and the elements. It can be secured to fit your body with a low profile, and not slide while on on a bike. It feels like it will be easy to clean and touch up, but Ill report back if thats not the case. The side pockets fit large water bottles (1 L, CamelBak bottles, etc.), and I appreciate there being two pockets for them. I like having my water bottle plus tea or another beverage. It can be hard to find water bottle slots that are big and secure enough for larger size bottles. Theres enough separate places for small items, wallet, etc. and I think the charger is a fantastic feature. Fully loaded, its comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. It is sturdy and made well, fits a lot, yet is remarkably not bulky. The fact I can wear it as a backpack or hold like a briefcase is nice. Overall, I really like how this looks and its function is exactly what I needed.

The Mark Ryden Rolltop backpack has been an amazing addition to my daily routine. The backpack is not only aesthetically catching to the eye, but its also highly functional. But Ill be completely transparent with you, I also feel like a million bucks wearing this thing because of how beautiful, classy and elegant it is. The color, texture and feel of the bag can be described as a deep rich shiny reflective matte black The laptop compartment is well-padded and raised off the bottom of the bag for extra protection. The roll-top design provides plenty of storage space and the buckle style closure at the top keeps everything securely in place. The exterior material is sleek and weather-resistant, making it a great option for outdoor activities, which leaves me more confident if I get some light rain or I am out in thw wilderness exploring. The USB charging port is a nice touch, and the backpack has plenty of pockets to fit all of my essentials. I really appreciate the side zipper that allows me to easily access items at the bottom of the bag without having to unpack everything. The backpack is also comfortable to wear, with well-padded straps that make it easy to carry even when fully loaded.

This is a great backpack for a variety of different outdoor activities. It is well designed, made of durable materials with quality zippers and straps. I like the range of pocket sizes and the side zipper that allows you to reach into the bag without undoing the top. The roll top feature allows for the storage capacity of the bag to increase significantly to pack additional gear. The water bottle pockets on the side stretch out with an elastic feature that allows for you to carry oversized bottles. The backside and straps are well padded and comfortable to wear on long treks. All of the seams are super reinforced and the pack has a very streamlined and minimalist feel. As the pack is waterproof I cant wait to take this along on the next kayaking trip!

This backpack is perfect for my needs! I havent tested if it is fully waterproof, but it is definitely very water resistant - you can feel the exterior is slick and that water will roll off. Its super sleek looking so I can use it daily for work to hold my laptop, planner, lunch, and other items. Its perfect for travel as well with the small zip pocket on the shoulder strap and the hidden security pocket at your back perfect for a passport, and of course the strap so you can hook it onto the handle of your rolling carry on. The straps are comfortable and I think it kind of puts the weight higher on your back then regular backpacks which makes it more comfortable. I like the three main compartment design as well. I put laptop and charger plus folders in the first compartment, planner and pencil case plus anything else in the middle compartment, and lunch in the outermost compartment. The small organization pockets are well distributed as well. The smallest pocket on the top of the bag is where I put my work bagel and keys that I use daily. 10/10 great quality with all the features I wanted and a sleek and minimal design that is very water resistant!
