Metal Gear Solid HD Collection

All MGS games are amazing. No contesting that. This bundle is great value as each game is extremely lengthy but well worth it.

I am SO HAPPY I bought this collection. Im a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid. The graphics look superb. They almost look like brand new games! This was the first time Id ever played Peace Walker. I like the game play but I dont care too much for the graphic novel story-telling though. All-in-all, Peace Walker is still a top rate game.

To be honest, I expected this to be just another rehashed remake with no real quality difference. But man, am I glad to be wrong. MGS in HD looks extremely good, and the lag from the original games (well, at least the lag from MGS3, havent played the others) has been taken care of. The controls now feel very fast and fluid, unlike the PS2 version where swinging your camera around a dense jungle caused the game to lag for a little bit. The game looks so sharp in 1080p, its amazing.

Overall decent game, however it does take a lot of patience to complete. If youre a Metal Gear enthusiast you know this already. I bought this thinking it would bring back to the good ol days of Metal Gear on PS1. I have not yet complete the MGS HD Collection, maybe one day though...

The old saying better late than never certainly applies to Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. This remake of 2004s PS2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, is the first Metal Gear game to appear on any Nintendo platform for a number of years and while it is only a remake, its a very good one. The move up to the 3DS platform has allowed developer Kojima Productions to delivery a game that is more visually attractive with some great cut-scenes and well designed environments.

I played Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PS2 many years ago. I really enjoyed it back then. I have to say it was great to be playing it again in HD. I never played the others until after I bought this set. Definitely worth it!

Let me start off by saying that there is little that has not being said about how great these games are. These games are legendary and highly acclaimed by the critics. There are in HD, but don`t come like many people thinking they were created again with a new engine, you will be disappointed. But if you look forward for MGS games in HD beyond MGS4, this is a great start for newbies. Extra, you also get trophies, I see some of you interested in that. Play them, and you will discover some of the best moments and bosses of gaming history.
