> 24 hourThe contact clamp screws do not prevent the adjustment screws from moving. I didnt have a problem with the spacing staying put, though. The other adjustment screws back out during use. I had to put some Loctite on them after I got the key adjusted. The base is not heavy enough to keep the key from walking around the desk. The paddles tend to dislodge from their pivots. The paddles are riveted on; there is no way to change them if they break. All together this is a terrible paddle set, but it is inexpensive. I bought a Begali. It is really nice.

> 24 hourUnfortunately, I read the reviews after I bought it. As a CW operator I dont need a QSO interrupted in order to realign the paddle... and a review said just that. My Vibroplex Brass Racer did that before I smashed the hell out of it and bought a Bencher Iambic. If your a serious CW op, you dont want this abomination. Read the reviews, youll see. They owe me stars for buying it. Oh, BTW I bought it through Amazon Prime. No shipping and no return costs.

> 24 hourThe Iambic Key Model MFJ-564B has poorly manufactured set screws that will not stay locked thus resulting in extra Dits and DAHs being added to CW transmissions. The bushings are also very fragile so you can not lock down the paddle tensioners sufficiently. We tried adjusting this for 5 months from July thru December 2020 and can not get the electrical contacts to stay in place for longer than 15 minutes. It can make an experienced CW operator sound like a novice operator. The threading on all the screws is poor and does not move easily. My husband with 41 years experience with radio-telegraphy pointed out to me that the set screws should tighten down and hold electrical contacts still. He demonstrated this on other makes and models of iambic paddles. It is clear the MFJ could not hold the contacts in place as other makes and models can do.

> 24 hourIt works well and can be adjusted for light touch but adjustment changes after 5-10 minutes of sending. The rear spacer adjustment backs out as you send. I will be using locktite to keep it in place. The two front post adjustments also back out as its used. The lock screws meant to tighten them down were already as tight as they would go when it arrived from the factory, so limited options there. It may be a good starting key except for the adjustment problems which keep you adjusting the key rather then practicing. For another $50-60 a good high quality key can be purchased.

BOB. Ive just received 2 more chargers. we call them the hot chargers. they charge things really fast. They are made for the Raspberry pi and we have 2 running on them. Working great.
> 24 hourI almost returned this keyer before using it because of the reviews. I later read glowing reviews on eham and decided to use it. It works as advertised. Very well. I did adjust the keyer using threadlock on bolts so they stay put once set right. I dont understand why Amazon reviews were so negative. Im very impressed and pleased with it. 5 stars worth. Brock More review after using it several months. The keyer continues to perform very well. Im completely satisfied with this great addition to my ham shack. I would recommend this keyer to a friend.
