Ad should specifically say not included for the timer, which is included in the images for the product without specifically saying its not part of the package. Ive never seen one that didnt specifically say not included for things like that, so I can only assume they are hoping people will think it is.

We live way north and the winters are dark. A bird vet told us how important these EXACT lights are for our conure, even in the summer if they are inside they need this light. So we got it and our little guy will sit on his branch under this light quite often. It’s a branch he NEVER used until we got the light so I know he likes it. The cord is so super protected with a metal outer shell. Our little guy to chew it when he was out and failed. He is still in training stages, but I’m thankful that cord was so heavy duty! BE SURE you research which light you need for your bird breed, there are a few choices.

The birds vision needs UV. I thought it was hooey. Well soon as I installed this the Love Birds changed. They began eating fresh foods they had been ignoring. They played more and squabbled less. They are willing to interact more with me now. They have really come around since adding this. So, I have recently bought the larger one and given this one to the budgies. They are now eating much more fruits and veggies, more than corn and apples. I believe all birds kept in homes need to have UV light for their physical mental and emotional health. Ive seen the changes.

I’d been thinking about getting one for a while and finally did. I’m glad I did. My plum headed parakeet loves it! He’s so much happier and more active. It really did make a difference. I put it on a timer like it suggested so it turns on in the morning and turns off at night. He gets the right amount of “sunlight” and sleep. I’m beyond happy with my purchase.

My pyschiatrist has had me using a blue light for years now. Hell lecture me if I forget (he has me write down how long I spend using it each day with my moods charted) and indeed there is a pattern. I usually have to sit at a funny angle so I can do things and still get the light. Now I just clip it to the top of my laptop, like I have it currently, and go. The clips are adjustable and flexible enough to fit most screens (I imagine). Its not so bright as to be annoying and its small that I can toss it into my laptop bag and take it with me to use wherever I use my computer. So thanks to the designers for this product.

Stopped working after 363 days! Tried contacting M&M because warranty should be for 2 years. No reply from M&M! I paid alot for this and it turns out they will not honor warranty!

I’ve had my parrotlet, Imp, for 3 years now. He was technically a pandemic baby lol. He’s already very energetic, but the first day I had the light on was incredible! He was flying around the room from perch to perch and bouncing, and he seemed to want to show off to me more. More complex flight patterns, landing on new surfaces, tighter turns, quicker, and initiating lots of recall from perch to hand over and over again. He was feistier and even more engaged than usual. Could be a coincidence, but he also has lots of new feathers coming in. I’ve been using the light since Monday. And I may be crazy but I think it’s making me and my dog happier too.. I have it hung over a window because that’s where Imp usually is, and it shines onto my bed and my dog’s bed where we sit during the day. I have insomnia and struggle to keep a sleep cycle. I also have bipolar and terrible anxiety. But I swear this light has helped my anxiety and sleep, at least, if not had a positive effect on my mood. The light is high quality and can easily be hung many different ways. I also got the timer light and it is a lot smaller than I expected, but in a good way. Nice screen and buttons. Definitely a staple in my bird care now.

I have used these lights for three years now. Previously I struggled with floor lamps and bulbs and really worried that they produced too much heat, plus I wasnt sure about the safety. These lights seem to be beneficial from a health standpoint and are well engineered. Every aspect has been carefully thought out and they are built to a high specification.

I bought three of these lights four years ago for my three bird cages and a couple days ago. One of them had two LED lights blow out. I called the number listed for the company and the gentleman answered right away, the same gentleman that creates these lights, and he shipped me a replacement for free that I received two days later. All I had to do was send him a picture to show him that the light had a malfunction, and he immediately took care of it. Even after three years, these lights are made to last and if they don’t he will make sure you get one that does.
