> 24 hourI echo what some of reviewers have recently posted: I purchased a 6 months subscription only to find out that Mullvad dropped one of its (to me) most important features: port forwarding. I agree with the statement someone made in their review: it feels like bait and switch (as the original product was excellent). Will have to move on to another VPN.

> 24 hourThis is a code for a 6-month subscription to Mullvad VPN, which is a fast and easy to use VPN service. Theres nothing to say about the card except it was very easy to enter the code in the Mullvad app on my phone. You could also type it into the app installed in your computer, or on the website itself. Mullvad VPN is highly regarded for speed, security, and privacy. The price is always the same, but you can sometimes find deals on Amazon. Regardless, as long as you have sufficient time on your account, you can use the VPN on up to 5 devices. Try it for yourself for a month or two, then come back to Amazon and buy the 6 month card to keep your devices secure.

> 24 hourIts a 5star vpn service and all but sadly for my specific use case I cant use it :( 99% of users wont even have this issue but on linux if you use safing portmaster firewall software, they dont play well with each other. Portmaster cant work when mullvad is on and mullvad cant connect if portmaster is on. This has apparently been going on for years and is due to the way each program has DNS hooks to run their service and you have to compromise one for the other.

> 24 hourEDIT: They no longer support port forwarding. Although it is for a commendable reason, many of us need this to remain functional. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this product. Title says it all, really. If you know what a VPN is, this is the one to use. There are other VPN companies out there, but no one else protects you like Mullvad, especially at this price point. There are even some free VPNs which you can use, but as the saying goes, if its free, you and your data are the product, because your information is being sold and exposed. Buying this voucher, or gift card, also allows you to save some money and still remain private (there is no identifying information utilized). You simply scratch off the latex opaque type substance (similar to a scratch off lottery card) to reveal the code that only you will see & know. You then enter that code into the Mullvad app. Ive used two of these now, without an issue. Works great.

> 24 hourI could argue for your right to privacy, but instead, ask yourself, Am I just a prey animal, born for predators to feed on? The big data business is predatory, and not much unlike other (intolerable) stalkers, voyeurs, and window peepers. I prefer to think, we are not for sale, except Big Data is more like a stealthy cat burglar, in that they do not offer us much choice about what they collect, how they correlate it, or where they monetize the bread crumb trail of our lives. Inconsiderate in the extreme as I see it. So make tracking your every action, more complicated by using a VPN. The first entity it cuts out is your ISP. A FCC/court decision, ruled your ISP can track, and record, your internet traffic and (mostly) do what they want with it. Since VPNs are encrypted tunnels for data, it makes it much harder for an ISPs to know where you have been. There are other benefits as well, except they are sometimes inconveniences. For instance, I would like for my BANK to prefer a secure VPN connection, when doing online banking. Instead they instantly lock my account because, How do we know it is really you?. Well, my suggestion would be that a BANK use hardware-based authentication security keys (FIDO U2F) instead of the crap they use now, like: Canvas Fingerprints, persistent cookies (which I erase) and easy to fake, Browser Location reporting. Even smart phone (text message) 2-factor authentication, can be a bad idea if someone finds, steals, or hacks, your phone. Enough about that... Why Mullvad VPN instead of one of the other major players? Well, at least one of the VPN companies have already been caught collecting, and selling, your online data. Of course it would be very hard to know, because in the USA, the government collects data without warrants, and even the warrants come with gag orders that make it a felony to disclose them. Mullvad at least is located in a fairly, free country, that does not seem to have an EXTREME obsession with knowing our every move. Their VPN most likely stops most of the private data collection. As for the various governments; if they want to know something, they have unlimited resources to get it. So behave yourself! Mullvad connections are reliable, and reasonably fast. There are people who say, Mullvad is not a good VPN for deceiving your streaming media services, (like Netflix) as to where you are located. I have no reason to do that, so I have not tested it. Price seems reasonable. You can change your connection location as often as you like, just to be an inconvenience to those wishing to exploit your data.

> 24 hourI researched the available VPNs extensively and I found a white paper from a leading consumer magazine that gave Mulvad their top rating. The price is very reasonable and it isnt a subscriber service with auto-renewal. I will caution that if you have plans to use this with your router you will probably have to exclude TVs or set top boxes from using the VPN. I noticed several of the video services that I subscribe to were blocked from using a VPN service by the provider. Setup does take some technical knowledge and you may need to tweak your configuration file to find a server with the best data throughput. I have 1 GB Fiber connection and I noticed my speed dropped to 250 MB over the VPN. That may sound bad however I havent noticed any change on the devices other than during a speed test.
