> 24 hourI have been using this projector for a bit and I will say that it is very nice to have. I use it for my work teaching, and I have loved its convenience. I dont have large amounts of experience with other projectors, but I wasnt expecting some of the features that it had. My favorite part of the experience was how quickly and smoothly it would play videos off of my flash drive after plugging it in. My only wish is that it would have the ability to play more video types (mkv, etc.), but other than that it passed my expectations!

> 24 hourI love it so far, I just don’t know if the Bluetooth really works with it because it acted like it did and then I couldn’t get it going. Yet, this sound is really excellent for a quality. I was impressed.

> 24 hourIt had a great picture, fan not to loud but the sound really weak even hooked up to my surround sound it was weak. The sound was my reason for the 3 stars. Maybe I just got a bad one. Update. The company sent me a new updated projector, got to test it out for about 3 weeks and so far so good it has way better sound. So Im giving it a 5 star. A few of my friends have bought this same projector after and they are very happy.

> 24 hourPicture The picture this projector puts out definitely looks like a respectable 1080P image and the brightness was definitely more than some of the cheap mini projectors youll find just below this price point. That being said this is a typical projector that you should run at night or in a dark room. Overall colors looked good and I didnt feel like I was missing any detail in the image even in dark scenes. Its not going to be a 4K HDR image but if youre looking for a fun outdoor projector this one wont disappoint. Audio The speaker included on this projector is also a pretty typical 5Watt speaker. It gets loud enough to hear it but not much more than that. The good news is that it doesnt try to be a BASS speaker so the sound was very clear and I could hear dialogue well. Immersive Dolby Audio claims The ads on this Amazon page are a bit deceptive though claiming Immersive Dolby Audio. Heres the truth on that and its not all bad. To begin with the Projector itself only has 1 speaker so youre not going to get anything immersive or surround from that its just physics at that point. However, if you have a movie file on a USB drive that has an AC3 (Dolby) audio track the Projector can read that file and play the audio through the single built-in speaker (mono) and its not going to win any awards but it plays pretty clearly so its enough to enjoy a movie if you have no other option. Additionally, you can connect a speaker system via the 3.5mm headphone jack output or Bluetooth and you can get a much better sound that way from the original Dolby audio track although it will still only be stereo and not Dolby surround. Unfortunately, this projector does not have a Digital audio out option (like Optical, Coax, or HDMI ARC) so its not possible for the projector to output surround sound audio from a USB input source. That being said if you plan to use this outdoors you wont have walls to bounce sound off of with a soundbar and its a pain to setup and arrange 5.1 speakers unless this is going to be a permanent setup. If you must have surround sound though youre not out of luck. The projector has HDMI inputs so if you have a soundbar or surround receiver with HDMI IN and OUT you can connect HDMI OUT from a movie player (BluRay Player, Roku, Chromecast, Xbox, PS5, etc.) to HDMI IN to a soundbar/receiver and then HDMI OUT from the receiver to HDMI IN on the Projector. At that point though the audio processing has nothing to do with the Projectors support of Dolby and everything to do with the sound equipment connected before the Projector. One nice benefit of having Dolby support in the Projector though is if you have an HDMI device that only outputs Dolby (Old Chromecasts used to be guilty of doing this) youll actually be able to hear the audio even if its only stereo at best. Cheaper projectors you might find on Amazon sometimes don’t support Dolby over HDMI and have no audio when connected to older Chromecasts which was a shame because Chromecasts are a small and convenient device to connect to a Projector and stream with. Bluetooth Audio Setting up the Bluetooth audio with this projector was fairly easy using the included remote and the menu. However, I did notice a slight delay between that picture and the audio behind it. I was using a Polk Magnifi Max soundbar to test this feature so other devices may have better Bluetooth capabilities. I’m not a fan of Bluetooth audio myself so I quickly switched to HDMI after that test. Remote The remote control for this Projector is small and to the point which I like because there’s not too many buttons. The Menu/Input button took the longest to figure out because it’s a single press for inputs and press and hold for the menu. My initial setup of this Projector was as a rear projection where the projector is behind the screen in a room and to my surprise, I was able to control the projector without having to walk around the screen. This might be a different story if I was outside without walls to bound the IR light off of but I was impressed none the less. The remote requires two AAA batteries that are not included. Focusing Nexigo has opted to use a motor inside the Projector to control the Focus ring and as such you can’t focus the projector manually. The remote has dedicated buttons for focusing and for this reason I would recommend making sure this is one remote that never gets lost and here’s why: Your only other option for focusing the projector is to use the touch sensitive buttons on top of the projector to navigate an onscreen menu. The same onscreen menu you probable can’t see because the picture is out of focus (see the problem?). While focusing the projector there is a nice test focus image with text in the center and all four corners so you can get everything in focus easily so that’s a nice touch. Maybe it’s the old DSLR photographer in me but I just wish there was a manual focus option. Projection Distance This Projector is not a short throw as some of the marketing images on the Amazon page might have you thinking. I have an 84” screen and in a normal size living room I struggled to get it to fill the middle of the screen. According to the manual (yes this Projector actually has a nice manual included) you would have to have the projector 9 feet from the screen to reach 80” and 21.8 feet away to reach the maximum 200” screen size. So plan screen size accordingly to room size for this projector. Digital Zoom I’m only calling this out because of how the photo in the Amazon marketing portrays this feature. What this feature does is, if you’re playing a movie from a USB drive, and you want to zoom in on a part of the picture it will make that section of the image larger (like a photo crop) and gives you a tool to pan the image while the overall size of the projected image on the screen remains the same. Zoom does not increase the size of the projected image on the screen. Only moving the projector further away from the screen will enlarge the projected image. Music Playback I saw in the manual that this Projector supports FLAC audio files so I decided to test it. I put my copy of Pink Floyd’s Dark side of the Moon on a USB drive in FLAC format and it played just fine using the remote and onscreen menu for the USB. It even had a nice visualization while playing (in review photos). USB Support One thing the manual lacks is specifications on what USB formats the Projector supports. Because of the large file size of 1080P movie files I was hoping it would support either NTFS or EXFAT since FAT32 has a 4GB size limitation for a single file. I tested NTFS first and that worked so I didn’t bother testing EXFAT. I was also able to play an MKV file with H264 video and AC3 audio. Other notes This Projector was packaged well and arrived without a scratch from Amazon. It has a dust filter on the fan intake that ejects on the bottom and came with what look like long q-tips to clean it out which I think is a nice touch. You just have to be careful when picking up the Projector because it’s very easy to accidentally eject the filter while picking it up. Fan noise is noticeable but not harsh and fades into the background while watching a movie. It’s best if you can have a rear projection setup to get the fan away from you while audio comes from a speaker system that’s also away from the Projector fan. Summary (TLDR) At this price point ($150 - $200) this is a respectable projector with plenty of features to be able to play the movies, music, photos or games you want to from the devices you own. It will work best outdoors at night or in a dark room. It requires considerable distance from the screen to reach its full size so make sure you have the space required. The built-in speaker will work in a pinch but I would highly recommend connecting an external speaker system for better sound. If I could change anything about it, I would add a digital audio out (optical, coax, or HDMI ARC) and an option to manually focus the projector so I don’t have to worry as much about losing the remote. Support for a tripod mount might be nice too but it’s on the heavy side for that. Overall though a solid Projector at this price point for making family memories with a home theater.

> 24 hourI have tried NexiGo products before, which gave me the confidence to get this projector and I am very happy with this product. I am using it for watching movies and sports in my dimly lit den. One of the key functions that I find very useful is to be able to use Fire TV stick to stream with the Projector. With this function, I dont have to hook up my laptop to the projector with HDMI every time I want to watch something. Also the function to mirror my iPhone on the projector is very useful to watch quick YouTube videos. Packaging - The packaging includes the projector, a power cable (around 6 feet long), a 3.5mm audio to RCA adapter, a remote (batteries not included) , and the user manual. You can adjust the focus with the remote, how cool is that! Adjusting the focus was a major pain with my previous projector. Audio & Display - I dont have any complaints about the picture quality and the audio. The display is very crisp and the audio (Dolby) is good enough for my small den, no need for external speakers. Connectivity - Projector can be connected to Wifi and Wifi mirroring is available to mirror your iPhone. You can connect speakers/soundbar via Bluetooth. USB Ports - Type A USB port is available to hook up your Chromecast or a Fire TV stick and stream using the Wifi. Fan noise - I can hear the fan noise in the background but after a while I got used to the noise. Its not very loud but it will not go unnoticed. Overall this is a very good projector for the price. Amazing product for movie nights with the family.

> 24 hourUpon reading previous reviews, I had high hopes for this new projector. As soon as I received the item, I opened the box and began to test it to make sure it works. The projector appeared new until I turned it on. The new projector had a very dirty lens and the fan is very loud. I was impressed with the picture quality as it does appear to be very good. I would have loved to given this item 5 stars but expectations fell flat. I will probably be returning this projector in the near future.

> 24 hourWanted a projector to use outside so the kids could have a movie night from time to time. This fit the bill for what I was looking for as I wanted something budget friendly and did not necessarily need all the features of the more expensive model. Solid picture and we can easily set it up outside more movie nights.

> 24 hourI was specifically looking for a sub-$300 projector to meet the budget for my basement. The projector had to be 1080p and have the ability to ceiling mount with an inverted view. My main use is TV shows and the occasional movie. I previously had a mid-level BenQ projector, so my level of standards are fairly high, but I kept my expectations in check. Shipping was fast and the projector arrived without damage. The packaging is simple, yet protective. Unboxing the projector I found the projector itself, the power cable, a 3.5mm audio to RCA adapter, remote (you’ll need two AAA batteries, not included), and the user manual. I was able to find a copy of the manual in PDF format online, so I familiarized myself with the operation before the projector got to me. I found the power cable to be a bit short for my setup. The included power cable is around 6 feet long. I would have liked a 10-12 foot power cable. The build quality of the projector is good for the money. The design is simple, and the controls and inputs are intuitive. I particularly like the remote. It is simple with no frills. It gets the job done without being overly complicated. Setup is super simple. Select your language and you’re good to go. The focus is set through the menu. Using the remote, fine tuning the focus is very easy. This is where I fell in love with it. Even before sending a video to it. The menu images are sharp and crisp, even without a proper screen. There are plenty of inputs available to meet all of the devices currently on the market. The projector also has the ability for screen mirroring, which was also easy to setup. My basement is long and narrow. But at 8.5 feet, I was able to get a very clear 75” screen on the opposite wall. Quite the improvement from my 43” 4K TV, which was several years old and giving out. Compared to my previous BenQ projector, which was in the $700 range, this NexiGo PJ20 is a strong competitor. Without having them side by side, there are few differences that I am picking up on. For under $300, I have zero complaints at all. The first night, I watched a few episodes of the Big Bang Theory and Star Wars Rogue One. They looked fantastic, with clear and crisp images. The colors are rich and bright! The last few days, my kids have watched several Disney movies. The Pixar films look great on this! Fan noise is reasonable for this price range. You wouldn’t want to sit directly next to it, but few would have it set up that way. With my ceiling mount, the fan noise is a non-issue. The speakers are okay in a pinch, but I would recommend some sort of external speaker. Bluetooth speakers would do fine. I’m using an Apple TV with two HomePod Minis. Paired with the PJ20, I have the ultimate budget setup. If you’re looking for a budget projector, you can stop here. I highly recommend the PJ20. You won’t be disappointed. The projector has a standard one year warranty. Registering gets you a second year for free.
