> 3 dayPurchased this as a replacement fan for my Hyper 212 Evo and its much quieter. In my Solo II its not as easy to keep gaming components cool, but even with my motherboards fan settings set to Silent for all motherboard header fans its still only 2c warmer than the stock Evo fan at similar ambient temps. This is my third Noctua fan, the first two were NF-S12a PWM fans, and this certainly wont be my last.

> 3 dayYou really get what you pay for with these fans. The performance:noise ratio is genuinely stunning. I use these in place of the stock fans on my corsair H100i, and not only are they roughly 10000% quieter (and spin at half the rpm), they perform just as well as the corsair ones. If you can stomach the price and the colour, then look no further.

> 3 dayThis fan is so quiet. At first my computer was actually hotter than it was with the original fan on my Corsair H55 liquid cooler. After fiddling with the BIOS setting the fan worked better than the original fan at keeping the temperatures down. Was the decrease in temperature large? No, but the decrease in fan noise is significant especially when running at 100% CPU. I had a 4-5 degree C decrease in temperatures, but I would purchase one even if it didnt drop the temperatures.
