> 3 dayI first used Noctua fans for some home servers about 15 years ago. I just used these to replace my case fans on a gaming PC. They are near silent and my temp monitors at around 25% lower than before. I have quite a quiet heat sink fan but now it sounds like a routemaster bus in comparison. Now need to buy a Noctua heat sink.

30-12-2024When you need quiet and long lasting fans, Noctua is the way to go. From 40mm to 200mm I have Noctua fans in my PC, server chassis, raspberry pi, 3d printer. I am never disappointed in Noctua. Each fan comes with numerous options for mounting and wiring. I have yet to have a Noctua fan fail or vibrate over time. No goofy color lighting, no stupid halo rings. They are fans, they move air and they do it nearly silently. This fan is in the front of my case in a custom housing I made to fit inside the top 5.25 bays. This delivers some fresh air towards my DRAM and up through my top mounted radiator.

> 3 dayIve ordered three Noctua NF-S12A PWM fans from the Noctua store, and the seller is clearly Noctua and not one of the marketplace stores. The first fan is OK. But the next two fans are used. There are screw marks inside of the screw holes and the screws are outside of the sealed plastic and are scattered all over the package. I dont know how much they used the fans before sending them to me.

> 3 dayThe small additional cost for this high-quality fan is worth it. Its the quietest fan Ive ever experienced, and it comes with plenty of cables, and mounts quickly and easily. Even though its practically silent, it seems to move more air than its far noisier predecessor. Its not the prettiest fan on the market by any means - the brown and beige will clash with a lot of case interiors - but I plan on replacing all four of my case fans with Noctuas.
