Noctua NH-C14S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A14 PWM 140mm Fan (Brown)

EDIT 5/7/2023 - Dropping down to 4 stars because it is basically impossible to change some high profile RAM sticks with this cooler attached, especially if it is a AM4 build where you cant change the cooler orientation.

You cant go wrong with Noctua. I bought this when I converted my old PC into a NAS and the original water cooler was end of life after 8 years! The Noctua seems to keep the temps about the same as the water cooler did. I have a big fan controller on the front and I can see the temps all the time so I know if its getting hot, which it does not. My ambient temps are around 75 max and the CPU is always below 30C, no O/C and running freenas OS. Fan is quiet but not completely silent, gets only a little louder when the fan controller kicks it into high. Still not bad. The case fans are louder.

This consumer removed the stock fan and replaced with RGB fan. Now he has performance and appeal. This worked out exactly how I wanted it too, let the noctua cooler do its job which we already know can do its job real well but now it looks good while doing it placed it on my 1600x and no problems rose

Noctua cant be beat for quality and performance, lowest noise and uncompromising support! Not the bling some other brands offer, but Im always going to put function first in my PC.

Bought this mainly to boost the overclock of an FX-8320E. I was hoping that the top down design would better cool the surrounding motherboard components. The northbridge is actually running a few degrees hotter. My previous cooler was an old 120 mm Xigmatek tower cooler that cost one third what this one does. It cooled just as well and the Scythe fan on it is quieter than the Noctua 140 mm at load. I sort of feel Ive been taken.

This is a great cooler especially for the Cooler Master NR200 case. I have it mounted on a Asrock H470 ITX motherboard for an intel core i7 10700. the motherboard allows me to run the CPU at 125 W vs the stock intel 65 W. Noctua has this cooler rated for 205 W max but if you add a second fan in a push pull config, this will equal that of a NH-U12A or beat it just slightly. I have tested this cooler with both single and dual fans running handbrake; my CPU lives between 65 C and 70 C with a i7 running at 100% load at 125 W in single fan mode. with no bottom fan, I have easy access to the motherboard and ram. overall excellent air cooler. I was unsure if this could handle the task so I ordered an AIO with 280 mm radiator. that AIO has been return never being used because the NH-C14S is excellent at its job.

Nice piece of gear. Easy to install, and fit easily inside Coolermaster n200 case. Temps have been very cool with included single fan in downward orientation.

Installed this with an Intel Quad Core i7 processor and then tested out how well the system holds up with a really good OC (over clock) ..... Wow the system does NOT heat up at all even under a really tough OC ..... take a likin and keeps on tickin ... glad that I got this as I normally do water cooling for extreme OCs but this Noctua is incredible and now I highly recommend it to anyone!!!!!
