Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

In 2020, I built a computer with the goal that it would be a valid build for the next five years--if not 10 years. Yes, I was reaching, but I needed a goal to establish a direction.

First off, I can’t get over how massive it is, to where I wonder about the structural integrity of the motherboard. It actually has a warning that basically says be careful about transferring your pc with the air cooler attached bc there’s no telling what could happen. I imagine if someone were moving their office, they’d have to disassemble the air cooler first to be safe. And somehow the NH-15 is supposed to be bigger. Luckily, I have plenty of clearance with the Asus Tuf Z690 and Be Quiet 500dx case with the nh-u12a.

Like what was said before, priced high and if you own the NH-U12S - Dont Upgrade if not gaming. The NH-U12S was way too close to my memory sticks, but the NH-U12A gave me 1/4 - 3/8 inch more room. Plus, I did drop 3C at idle and 4C at gaming. I am only running 1 fan (120mm Cooler Master Jet Flo) which pushes 95 CFM at 2000 rpms. Works great. I am controlling all 6 of my fans via my BIOS so no need for any speed-controlled cables connected to the fans. If the NH-U12A was just as close to the memory as the NH-U12S, I would have returned it the same day I received it. Overall, I love the NH-U12A cooler. Noctua needs to make a Chromax cover for this cooler.

Celui-ci embarque une mobale Asus Rog Strix Z390-i, un CPU I9 9900K (9è Gen), @ 4.8ghz AVX offset 3, Uncore 4.5Ghz, soit 4.5/4.5 ghz AVX all cores a pleine charge 1.25v Vcore, 2*16 GB Corsair vengeance 4000 @1.35v 17-18-18-36-2T, un GPU KFA2 RTX 2080TI dual slot... et toujours un graveur BD clkassique LG multifonction (BD/DVD/CD). Alim : Seasonic prime Platinum 650W. Je passe la configuration disque et le remplacement des deux ventilos dorigine. Au vu des conditions de fonctionnement, je nai pas à me plaindre du rapport qualité-prix de ce ventirad ni de ses prestations.

Davvero imponente, installato su MSI x570 gaming plus e CPU Ryzen 7 3800xt.

La verdad que me esperaba un mejor resultado para el precio tan elevado, tengo la caja con un airflow tremendo y aun asi con todos los ventiladores a tope y estando en invierno roza los 80, manteniendose medio estable en 77

My computer runs from 32 to about 54 . Very cool. Unbelievable cooler.

Excellent, nothing short of excellent. I installed the cooler to reduce my CPU temp. and thats what it did...

Perhaps if I (re)computed Pi all day, or played games, the fans would spin up. But, we know Pi to many billions of digits, and I dont play heavy games (on this computer). Always cool and quiet with this heat-sink. The highest temperature Ive ever seen using this heat sink was 47degC.

Fits my NR200 itx case perfectly. Keeps a 3700x cpu below 70c while cpu mining, all while amazingly quiet. Noctua really is the best!!
