NOW Solutions, Jojoba Oil, 100% Pure Moisturizing, Multi-Purpose Oil for Face, Hair and Body, 16-Ounce

Ive been using jojoba oil for my hair for a couple years now. When I was living in New York, I would put some jojoba oil on the ends of my hair before I shampoo it, and it helps my hair stay tangle-free for the rest of the day. However, when I moved to Wisconsin, that method simply wasnt enough. The hard water and the cold (and therefore the heater) really damaged my hair and my scalp. My scalp became flaky, REALLY flaky, but its not dandruff, just dead, dry skin. My hair lost its shine and I started shedding more hair than when I was in New York. I tried installing water filter for my shower head, tried natural shampoos & conditioners, tried scalp treatments, tried a bunch of different brands that claim to be hydrating, but nothing worked. Thats when I went back to my trusty jojoba oil. I made my own blend of jojoba oil (4oz), rosemary essential oil (20 drops, supposedly rosemary helps with hair growth by increasing circulation), and lavender essential oil (4 drops, also helps with circulation). I massage my scalp with the blend, put on a shower cap and let it sit for about 30 mins every day (yes, I shampoo every day, its a habit that I cant change even though its probably why my scalp is so dry...) Ive been doing that for a couple weeks now, and my hair has never been shinier. My scalp feels hydrated, the flakes are gone, and my hair stays tangle-free all day. When I dont have 30 minutes for hair treatment, I just massage the blend into my scalp and shampoo right away. It doesnt work as well, but its better than nothing! Ive also tried jojoba oil on my face as a moisturizer and as a cleanser (oil cleansing method), but my face doesnt seem to appreciate it as much as my scalp does. Jojoba oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, which is moderately low, but can potentially still clog pores for some people. Though theres a lot of talk on the internet about how it resembles the natural sebum that we produce & therefore shouldnt clog pores, it just doesnt work for me. I use argan oil for my face, which has comedogenic rating of 0, and its working pretty well.

I have purchased this oil online before and at the Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods so this brand is pretty consistent. The bottle last along time. I love that this oil is really close to the sebum that we naturally process. Its a very light non-greasy oil I use the oil on my natural hair to seal my ends and oil my scalp sometimes. It leaves my hair shiny and the oil feels light on my hair. I also use it on my body right after the shower to seal in the moisture...leaves my skin soft and ash free. I will definitely be replenishing this oil.

One opened seal came slightly off. Leaked in transit. Very good carrier oil. Velvety feelinh softening and soaks into skin fast. Smell different per bottle. Mostly no smell. Third bottle dark color dont care about this. This brand across board very high grade oils.

I truly love this oil. I’ve used this Jojoba oil on my body several times when I have run out of the sweet almond and it seems very soothing to my skin it makes my skinreally moist. Keep in mind I do mix it with my Vaseline lotion. This NOW Jojoba oil is perfect for hair treatments which I have used it for several times and the main purpose I got it. Well my hair just feels very plumbed and moisturizer rich when I use it as a deep treatment. For my deep treatment I use this NOW Jojoba oil, Áloe plant (just the clear part), and any good store brought deep treatment. I blend them together in my blender, I put it on my hair very generously, then I wash it off as usual. After every wash, whether I do a treatment or not, after a wash and clean my scalp very well I towel dry my hair and add just a few drops of the Jojoba oil just to my hair not my scalp and it has made a huge difference on how my curls have come back. My hair is super healthy and I just adding this one oil. In case you’re wondering no it does not have an odd smell, or strong fragrance. It just has that yummy oil smell. Love It and would recommend and Will Buy Again!

Used this as part of an oil application to my newly made cedar plant boxes. So far the boxes have remained that beautiful cedar color when the wood is first cut. Aside from the oil and beeswax wearing off of the top hinges (which we also made from cedar) because of the rain falling on it the product worked great for the use intended. I plan on purchasing this product again for my boxes as they may need it and also as a use as a base for essential oils.

My wife has used other, much more expensive, Jojoba Oil products, that were purchased at various Health Food Stores, but We have learned the difference in color and purity, from the cheap, processed clear stuff, to the raw unfiltered, stable products, like this product. The lack of color is due to the heavily industrialized process through which the oil is refined. Jojoba oil that has a golden luster to it is always unrefined and exists in its natural form. This Now Solutions 100% Jojoba, fits the bill and is the best price per ounce I could find, especially when considering it has the added bonus, of coming directly from Amazon, making me feel more comfortable, that no one has blended the original product with a cheaper oil, in order to boost profits. I use this as my face moisturizer and it works wonderful.

The scent is OKAY. It smells like oil. Other than that, it does wonder for my hair. This is all I put on my curly hair when its wet & let it air dry. Makes me have beautiful curls. It is also very moisturing on the skin, never feel the need to wash it off my hands after using it (if anything, I rub the extra on my face).

Now, I admit I was hesitant upon reviewing this product, as I will go to any lengths not to jinx what Ive seen as a decent difference in the quality of my skin so far. Hopefully this product isnt a fluke, but right now, I honestly dont think that it is. Lets go into more detail on my skins history and present state, so I can really show how wonderful jojoba oil has been to me. In the past, I have had breakouts. Not very severe, just a few pimples here and there on my skin, nothing major at all. You could say I lucked out in the genes department when it came to acne, for some time at least. About a year ago, during my second year of college, my skin progressively got worse and worse, and I had no idea why. So I made some changes to my routine - I slept earlier, limited my dairy/gluten intake, ate healthily, started taking turmeric pills, exercised more often. All in the name of good skin again! However, to no avail. All over my face, I started developing little whiteheads, the sort of acne that takes its sweet time to surface, and when it does, not pretty! My face felt bumpy, and I dreaded putting on moisturizer in the morning, looking in the mirror (especially in bright lighting). In a desperate attempt to regain my self-confidence, I turned to jojoba oil, ordered this because of the raving compliments. Every night for the past week or so, I put about 2-3 drops on my fingertips and massaged on my face. Throughout the night, I left this product on my skin, praying for a miracle. No miracle, since I still have some bumps/whiteheads to deal with, but my face is now noticeably clearer. Jojoba oil cannot be touted as a miracle all-in-one type of deal, but what it can do for you is facilitate the recovery to healthier looking skin. Just keep with incorporating good exercise and eating habits into your life, get your beauty rest, and use this along with some tea tree oil to keep those pimples at bay, and I think that you will see a difference sooner or later. Genetics is one thing, but taking care of yourself before anything bad happens is another!
