The stand itself is extremely sturdy as it is made of aluminum. However, it is not as slanted down as the picture shows. It is a lot flatter. The con is that it is not adjustable. So it lays pretty flat.

I was pretty impressed when I got the parts to make the laptop stand. It held my 14 laptop nicely and really cleared up a lot of space on my desk. I was able to store books under the stand to create extra room. I only wish that I am able to use it on soft surfaces as well like my bed. However, it is a little shaky to do so. Regardless, it is a great product and definitely needed for someone who uses a laptop a lot.

Seemed affordable solution, and perhaps the one that I received was defective and others are fine, but the snaps that hold the two pieces together do not snap together on the one that I received. It would have made more sense to just have it all be one piece or make it so these things actually hold together because the pieces come apart with the slightest movement and I dont want the laptop to fall, so I ended up donating it and hopefully someone will just super glue it together. Im back to using a stack of books.

I have been toying around getting a computer stand and glad I waited. This is perfect for my MacBookPro and you can also store small items (such as paperclips) under the stand.
