At the tightest adjustment possible the space is 1/2 inch. The thickness of my laptop is 1/4 inch. This resulted in my laptop being loose and not properly secured when placed on the stand.

Does what it says, helps ensure your laptop is ventilated. I work from home and my laptop is always on, this helps stop the over heating from keeping it in a flat surface

What i expected! A very stable stand for my Dell Elitebook. Its adjustable, i also tried the Acer Spin One from my girl and it fits also. I like the clean aluminum design.
